Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for treating surfaces. Said method is characterised in that the surfaces are treated with (a) at least one hydrophobic agent, (b) at least one cross-linked organic copolymer in a particle form, (c) at least one film-forming copolymer comprising epoxide groups, NH-CH 2 OH-groups or acetoacetyl groups, (d) optionally, one or several emulsifiers, and finally, dried after treating.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to polymer powder with a high rubber content and to its use as an impact modifier for hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC) applications, and to thermoplastic halogen-containing molding materials comprising the polymer powder and to the use of the molding materials for producing moldings.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the production of a polymer powder with improved powder properties, and to its use as impact modifier for rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) applications. The impact modifier is composed of emulsion polymer particles which have a core-shell structure, where the shell is composed of a hard polymer and the core is composed of a soft, crosslinked rubber polymer.
Abstract:
A process for coating a surface comprises said surface being coated with particles (A) comprising a core (a) and at least one envelope (b) other than said core (a), and optionally with at least one hydrophobicizing agent (B) and thereafter thermally treated.

Abstract:
The invention relates to the production of a polymer powder with improved pulverulent characteristics and to the use of said powder as an impact- resistance modifier for hard polyvinyl chloride (PVC) applications. The impa ct- resistance modifier consists of emulsion polymer particles with a core-shell structure, said shell being composed of a hard polymer and the core of a sof t, vulcanised rubber polymer.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the use of an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising methacrylic acid and N-methylolacrylamide as a binder for producing filter materials and for base paper for decorative sheets.
Abstract:
Nanoporous polymer foam (I) obtained by expanding a multi-phase, blowing agent-containing polymer mixture (II) with domains in the range of 5-200 nm, in which the solubility of the blowing agent (III) in the domain-forming phase is at least twice as high as in the adjacent phases. Independent claims are also included for (1) a method for the production of (I) by making a multi-phase mixture (II) as above, impregnating the mixture with (III) and expanding the mixture (2) expandable mixtures (II) as above .
