Abstract: Reaction mixtures which contain cyclohexanol, cyclohexanone and cyclohexyl hydroperoxide and are obtained in the oxidation of cyclohexane with molecular oxygen, or with a gas containing this, in the liquid phase are worked up by a process in which the reaction mixture is hydrogenated in the presence of a noble metal catalyst at elevated temperatures and under superatmospheric pressure, the resulting mixture is treated with an aqueous alkali metal carbonate solution, and cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone are separated off by distillation.

Abstract: Oxygen-containing compounds are prepared by oxidizing a hydrocarbon in the liquid phase with a gas containing molecular oxygen, at elevated temperatures and under superatmospheric pressure, by a continuous process in which the said gas is fed into the liquid reaction mixture, in a downward direction, at several points along the reaction zone via nozzle apertures, so that it emerges at each nozzle aperture with a velocity of from 0.01 to 1 m/sec in an amount of from 0.001 to 10 liters per second per nozzle aperture, and the said reaction mixture is brought into substantially uniform contact with the gas containing molecular oxygen, over the volume of the reaction zone.

Abstract: A further embodiment of the method for processing reaction mixtures which contain cyclohexyl hydrogen peroxide which have been obtained by oxidising cyclohexane using molecular oxygen, or gases containing molecular oxygen, in the liquid phase at a temperature of 130 to 200@C under a pressure of 5 to 125 bar, by reacting cycloolefins at elevated temperature in the presence of catalysts, cyclohexyl hydrogen peroxide being reacted with cyclohexene at elevated temperature in the presence of compounds of transition metals of group 4 to 6 of the Periodic Table which are soluble in cyclohexane, then hydrogenating the cyclohexene oxide formed in a manner known per se in the presence of hydrogenation catalysts at elevated temperature to give cyclohexanol in accordance with Patent ... Abstract: Reaction mixtures which contain cyclohexyl hydroperoxide, cyclohexanol and cyclohexanone and are obtained by oxidizing cyclohexane with molecular oxygen, or a gas containing this, in the liquid phase at from 130 DEG to 200 DEG C. under from 5 to 25 bar are worked up by treatment with an aqueous alkali solution in the presence of a cobalt salt at elevated temperatures by an improved process wherein a phosphonic acid compound of the formula I where X is alkylene or 2 to 6 carbon atoms, R1 is -CH2PO3H and R2, R3 and R4 may be identical or different and are each -CH2PO3H, -CH2OH, hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, is concomitantly used.
