PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a perylene derivative as a pigment dispersant and provide a pigment preparation overcoming the conventional technical standard in color, rheology and general purpose applicability. SOLUTION: The pigment preparation contains the perylene derivative expressed by general formula (I) as the pigment dispersant.
