Abstract: 1-Dimethylcarbamoyl -1H-1,2,4-triazole derivs. (I) are new. In (I), R = H, halogen, thiocyano or thiocyanomethylthio; R1 = tert.butyl or 1-methylcyclopropyl. Cpds. (I) are new except when R = Br and R1 = 1-methylcyclopropyl. Starting materials (II) are also claimed. Specific. cpd. (I) is e.g. 1-(N,N-dimethyl carbamoyl)-3 -tert.butyl-5-thiocyano -1H-1,2,4-triazole. USE - Cpds. (I) are useful for the control of insects, mites and nematodes on plants, seeds and materials as well as in soil. They are applied in amts. of 0.1-2 kg/ha.
