Abstract:
The invention relates to a spray condensation method for producing dried resins in the form of a powder. According to the inventive method, at least one crosslinkable initial material that is liquid or dissolved in a liquid phase is condensed with at least one aldehyde in a spray reactor.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for transition metal-catalyzed production of aqueous dispersions containing (co)polyolefins or vinyl aromatic (co)polymers by reacting (co)monomers in the presence of a cationic complex of a late transition metal and optionally an ionic compound with a Brönsted acid as cation, a strong neutral Lewis acid or an ionic compound with Lewis acid cations as cocatalyst in an aqueous reaction medium.
Abstract:
A process and device for producing finely divided liquid-liquid formulations comprise (a) a screen with at least one inlet nozzle and a screen with at least one outlet nozzle, a static mixer being located in the space between the screens, into which additional energy is mechanically introduced, if necessary, or (b) a screen with at least one inlet nozzle and a baffle plate, a static mixer being located, if necessary, in the space between the screen and the baffle plate, and/or energy being mechanically introduced therein.
Abstract:
The invention relates to aqueous polymer dispersions that can be obtained by polymerizing one or more olefins in the aqueous medium in the presence of dispersants and, optionally, in the presence of organic solvents. The polymerization of the olefin(s) ensues with the aid of a catalyst system based on transition metal complexes having neutral ligands and with the aid of an activator. Transition metal complexes of this type are used that, before being activated with the aid of the utilized activator, do not have any metal-carbon bonds.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing aqueous copolymer dispersions of copolymers consisting of carbon monoxide and olefinically unsaturated compounds, by means of copolymerisation of carbon monoxide and olefinically unsaturated compounds in an aqueous medium in the presence of metallic complexes.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a paper sizing agent comprising a stable aqueous dispersion of a reactive sizing agent, 5 to 100 % by weight, with regard to the reactive sizing agent, of an essentially linear nitrogen-containing polymer with at least 3 mmol/g of basic nitrogen atoms, and 1 to 50 % by weight of cationic starch with a degree of substitution of at least 0.05. The paper sizing agent exhibits a good sizing effect and has a constant viscosity.
Abstract:
Method for determining the size concentration, the particle size and the particle size distribution of natural and/or synthetic sizes in a paper stock by staining a sample of the particles (T i ) of the size with a fluorescent dye, light being radiated into the sample of fluorescent or fluorescently stained particles and scattered light and/or fluorescent light from the sample being recorded and evaluated, and use of this method for determining the particle size distribution of reactive size particles in the paper stock or in the white water of paper machines during papermaking.
Abstract:
Aqueous alkenylsuccinic anhydride-containing polymer dispersions which are obtainable by miniemulsion polymerization of hydrophobic monoethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of alkenylsuccinic anhydrides, processes for the preparation of such polymer dispersions by polymerizing hydrophobic monomers by a miniemulsion polymerization method in the presence of at least one alkenylsuccinic anhydride and, if appropriate, an alkyldiketene, and use of the resulting aqueous alkenylsuccinic anhydride-containing polymer dispersions as engine and surface sizes for paper and for imparting water repellency to leather, natural and/or synthetic fibers and textiles.
