Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an emulsifiable wax which has a very low total number of spots and a sufficient viscosity, is not tacky, and ca be produced under conditions exhibiting high effects in terms of cost. SOLUTION: There are provided an emulsifiable ethylene polymer comprising a copolymer of 90-95 wt.% ethylene, 4-10 wt.% at least one 3-12C alkenecarboxylic acid, and 0-1.2 wt.% at least one tertiary ester of the corresponding 3-12C alkenecarboxylic acid and having a kinematic melt viscosity (at 120 deg.C) of 800-3,000 mm2/s; a process for producing the novel emulsifiable ethylene polymer; an emulsion comprising the novel ethylene polymer; a process for producing the emulsion from the novel ethylene polymer; and a floor cleaner, a car cleaner, a leather cleaner, a stone cleaner, or a coating film for a surface made from wood, metal, paper, glass, or a plastics, comprising an aqueous emulsion of the novel emulsifiable wax.
Abstract:
The invention relates to cosmetic preparations and toothpaste containing polyethylene wax, particularly micronised polyethylene wax with improved organoleptical properties, produced by (co-)polymerising ethylene at high pressure using an aliphatic or alicyclic ketone as a molecular weight regulator.
Abstract:
The invention relates to pigment concentrates, comprising at least one colour pigment; a polyethylene wax, produced from ethylene and an optional copolymer, by means of a metallocene catalyst; optionally, a thermoplastic plastic and optional adjuncts. The invention further relates to methods for production of said pigment concentrate and moulded bodies and flat objects which are coloured with said pigment concentrate and methods for colouring said moulded bodies and flat objects.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for coating a reactor. Said method is characterised in that a metal layer or a metal polymer dispersion layer is deposited on the inner surface of the reactor in a currentless manner by contacting the surfaces to a metal electrolytic solution which contains a reduction means and a halogenated polymer in dispersed form in addition to the metal electrolyte. Said halogenated polymer can optionally be deposited.

Abstract:
In a process for preparing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers in which a mixture of ethylene and vinyl acetate is polymerized continuously in the presence of free-radical polymerization initiators and, if desired, molecular weight regulators in a cooled tube reactor at a pressure in the range from 1000 to 3500 bar, and the poly-merization initiator is added at the beginning and at two or more points along the tube reactor, and temperature changes in the reaction mixture along the tube reactor, between the first temperature maximum and the last addition of the polymerization initiator, are within a range of not more than 20° C.
