PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: A composite material comprises: (A) a natural fiber; (B) at least one kind of thermoplastic polymer; and (C) at least one kind of random copolymer having a molar mass Mof 20,000 g/mol or less at maximum and obtained by copolymerizing (a) ethylene, (b) at least one kind of reactive comonomer selected from (b1) an ethylenically unsaturated C-Cmonocarboxylic acid and (b3) an epoxyester of ethylenically unsaturated C-Cmonocarboxylic acid, and, if necessary, (c) at least one kind of other comonomer.

Abstract:
The invention relates to the use of polymers, comprising the following polymerised groups: an .alpha.-olefin, at least one alkenyl ester and at least one ester of an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid with higher alcohols, as additive for fuels and lubricants and in particularly as cold flow improver in fuel oils, fuels and lubricants with said additives and additive packets containing such copolymers. The invention further relates to copolymers in which the above monomers are polymerised.
