    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mobile communication system to select a communication party by designating a definite position. SOLUTION: A server 12 stores and manages the positional information (latitudes and longitudes) of mobile stations 22. When the mobile stations 22 transmit mail including information designating and providing the positional extents of their communicating parties to the server 12, the server 12 discriminates whether or not the mobile stations 22 are in the extents (center latitudes, longitudes, and radii) contained in the mail based on the positional information of the stations 22 and the extents, and obtains the names (telephone numbers) of the users of all mobile stations 22 existing in the extents. When the number of the mobile stations 22 existing in the extents is large, the server 12 reduces the number of the mobile stations 22 based on the attributes, etc., of the users and transmit the mail containing information to be provided to each finally obtained mobile station 22.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control propagation of information in a more proper form by measuring the prescribed characteristic of a received radio signal and deciding the response timing of the received radio signal, based on the measured characteristic and a response policy corresponding to the measured characteristics. SOLUTION: An electric field strength measurement device 5 measures the electric field strength of a radio electric signal outputted from a transmitter-receiver 3 which receives a radio signal received by an antenna 1, and gives the result to a communication controller 7. Upon the receipt of a connection request, the communication controller 7 decides when a reply is to be returned in response to the connection request and instructs the transmitter-receiver 3 to start communication in a proper timing. The transmitter-receiver 3 gives the connection request, including a terminal ID and a response policy for start of communication, to the controller 7 to await a connection reply from other radio transmitter-receiver. The waiting state transits to a call- receiving state, when receiving the connection request from other radio transmitter- receiver. In the call-receiving state, the communication controller 7 returns a connection response to decide whether or not communication is executed or when a response timing is returned, when replying the connection response.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit more local information to a user existing in a prescribed range by calculating a distance from an information source through the use of position information, comparing it with a prescribed threshold and deciding received information so that it cannot be transferred at the time of deciding the propriety of the transfer of received information containing position information of the information source. SOLUTION: A communication controller decides the propriety of information transfer. Whether information which is decided so that it is to be transferred at first is judged to be valid or not (210). When it is overdue, information is not transferred (270). Then, it is judged whether it itself is detached from an information source by a prescribed distance or not (220). It can be judged according to whether a self-position detected from a position detector is within a circle whose radius is set to be a distance as a threshold with the information source as a center from the distance inputted to the frame of transfer information as the threshold and the position of the information source in the frame. When it is detached from the information source for more than the prescribed distance, information is not transferred (270).
