Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To safely and easily perform power cable communication with a server providing a desired service. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] There is provided a communication relay device for relaying communication data between an information processing device and a communication network by utilizing a power cable where a communication signal is superimposed on a power signal. The communication relay device includes: an authentication information storage unit for storing authentication information for the communication relay device; a power plug which can be detachably attached to w power socket for connecting an electric device to the power cable; a connection detection unit for detecting that the power plug is connected to the power socket; an authentication unit for transmitting authentication information to the server via the power cable if the power plug is connected tot he power socket so that the server authenticates the communication relay device; and a communication relay unit for relaying the communication data from the information processing device for the communication network if the authentication by the authentication unit is sucessful.
Abstract:
[PROBLEMS] To safely provide only unused band of a communication line contractor to a third person for free. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A communication device (20) radio-communicates with each of information processing devices and connects each of the information processing devices to a communication line provided by an ISP (Internet service provider). The communication device (20) includes: a contractor terminal judgment unit (200) for judging whether each of the information processing devices is managed by an ISP contractor who is allowed to install the communication device and connect it to the communication terminalaccording to the contract with the ISP; and a communication unit (210) for radio-communicating with each of the information processing devices by setting the contractor terminal as an information processing device managed by the contractor with a higher priority than a non-contractor terminal as an information processing device which is not a contractor terminal.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for self shopping support capable of supporting a shopper to perform self-service shopping by using electronic shelf labels (ESL) while a shopper looks at actual items displayed in a store and expanding functions of the electronic shelf labels and expansively linking with the other data processing system. SOLUTION: The shopper uses a mobile processing device (typically, portable phone possessed by the shopper) in the store. An application program as the function required for obtaining contents from the electronic shelf labels (ESL) is introduced to a portable phone possessed by the shopper (610), and the shopper can expect to readily enjoy shopping (620). When photographing the electronic shelf label (ESL) (630), the content correlated with the item is encoded (a price display (640) is automatically changed to a bar code (650)), and decoded (660). Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promote utilization of a communication line by calculating a reasonable communications charge to be charged on each user, when secondary utilization of the communication line to be offered as communication service is permitted. SOLUTION: A communication relay system 20 is provided for offering communication service for connecting a communication device to an existing communication network. The relay system 20 includes a communication relay 200 which relays communication between the communication network and a primary communication device which is connected to a predetermined primary communication line and is used by a contractor, by connecting the primary communication device 30 to the communication network; an account DB 25 for recording a communication charge to be charged for communication of the primary communication device with the communication relay system via the primary communication line; and a charger 260 which reduces the amount of the communication charge recorded on the account DB 25, on condition that another contractor connects a secondary communication device to the primary communication device, and connects it to the communication network via the primary communication line in the relay 200. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new input/output device which adds/helps the function of a PC main body when it is connected to the PC main body and which operates like a conventional PDA in the state of being cut off from the PC main body. SOLUTION: An input/output device 120 to which this invention is applied operates in an independent state and operates in cooperation with a PC main body 110 also in the state of being housed in the PC main body 110. The device 120 consists of a display screen 310 comprising a touch panel, etc., a display screen 330 which is seen from outside even in a state where the cover of the PC main body is closed, a port 452 for exchanging data in the case of being housed in the PC main body 110, and a transmitter/receiver 462 for radio communication.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily cope with a print sheet, to prevent the function of a display device or an indicator from being disturbed, or the operation of a keyboard or a button or the like from being interrupted even when the sheet is set, and to attain printing without bending the sheet by supplying the sheet from a clearance between a system main body and an inputting part to a printing means. CONSTITUTION: A tray 10 for a sheet entrance functioning also as a cover for the sheet entrance is attached to the front side face of a system main body 100 so as to be opened and closed, and a discharge port for the printing sheet is provided at the back face of the main body 100. A keyboard 300 as an inputting part is provided on the main body 100, and when the tray 10 for the sheet entrance is opened, a printing sheet entrance 40 is exposed along the lower side of the edge of the front side of the keyboard 300. In this state, the tray 10 for the sheet entrance is turned into a horizontal attitude, a printing sheet 400 is guided to the printing sheet entrance 40 while supported from a lower part, and the printing sheet 400 is easily inserted into the sheet entrance 40. Thus, the printing sheet 400 can be printed without being bent.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for displaying an optimum image corresponding to an external environment for a user.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a reading unit that reads an image pattern on a physical medium; an acquisition unit that acquires a state parameter of an external environment acquired by an environment sensor for sensing an environment around the display device; a shooting unit that shoots the physical medium to generate a captured image; and a display unit that displays a display object which is to be presented to a user and is determined based on the read image pattern with the captured image in an overlapped manner. The display object displayed with the captured image in an overlapped manner changes according to the state parameter of the external environment.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extract invisible information even when visible information is overlapped with the invisible information. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for extracting the invisible information from an object with the visible information overlapped with at least a part of the invisible information formed by stealth ink and the method includes steps: for irradiating the object with light which makes the stealth ink emit light: for receiving reflected light from the object; for extracting image information from the received reflected light; for dividing the image information into a plurality of pieces of color channel information; for calculating a correlation function among the pieces of color channel information about the respective pixel values constituting the image information about at least two pieces of color channel information selected from the pieces of color channel information; for reducing and interpolating visible information components about one of the selected color channel information using the correlation function and for extracting the invisible information from one piece of interpolated color channel information.
