Abstract:
A method ( 50 ) of dynamic creation of service flows includes exposing ( 51 ) a flow of a service being built to other service providers in a network, soliciting ( 52 ) for modification of at least a portion of the flow, and selectively enabling ( 56 ) other service providers to modify at least a portion of the flow. The step of soliciting can optionally include advertising ( 53 ) BPEL files to indicate flows or portions of flow that are modifiable by other services providers and tagging ( 54 ) such BPEL files to indicate such modifiable or reusable portions of the flow. The BPEL files can also be published ( 55 ) in a UDDI-like directory. New flows can be created by incorporating ( 57 ) the modifications into at least a portion of the flow. Optionally, solicitations for modifications can be removed ( 59 ) once the new flow is created.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice multi-network roaming from a mobile to 802.11, which utilizes SIP signaling with a SIP proxy server or a redirect server. SOLUTION: A method of roaming between a mobile network and a wireless network can include a step of receiving an invitation from a user agent arranged in a mobile communication device via a radio network. The mobile communication device can be involved in a call via a voice channel in the mobile network. This method can comprise a step of selecting any one having an affinity with the user agent from among a plurality of gateways each being configured as an interface between at least one mobile network and the radio network. A call can be handed over from the mobile network so that at least one part of the call may be conducted via the radio network using the selected gateway. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide voice over IP mobile roaming which uses SIP REFER. SOLUTION: In a method which performs roaming between a mobile network and a radio network in a mobile communication device, a step may be contained which establishes voice-over Internet protocol communication link with an end point, to which telephone conversation is carried out. At least a part of the telephone conversation is carried out via a wireless network. Further, the method may include a step which starts handoff of at least a part of the telephone conversation from the radio network to the mobile network by using a session starting protocol REFER method, and a step which continues telephone conversation, by using not the radio network but rather the mobile network, regarding at least a part of the telephone conversation. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the use of mobile control channel for roaming between networks. SOLUTION: A method of roaming between mobile and radio networks includes a step of detecting a wireless network and a step of querying the wireless network for an Internet Protocol address for a mobile device. The Internet protocol address can be received. Accordingly, a message can be sent to the mobile switching center of the mobile network using a mobile control channel. This message can instruct the mobile switching center to designate a route for voice data directed to the mobile device to the Internet protocol address via a gateway and the radio networks which are communicably linked. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method, system, and apparatus for allowing cellular telephone unit users to freely roam between a cellular telephone network and a wireless network without dropping calls. SOLUTION: The method of roaming between a cellular network and a wireless network can include receiving an invitation over the wireless network. The invitation can be sent from a mobile communications device engaged in a cellular call over a cellular voice channel. The method also can include the steps of authenticating the mobile communications device over the wireless network, sending an acknowledgement of the invitation to the mobile communications device over the wireless network, and initiating a handover. The established cellular call can be switched from the cellular telephone network to the wireless network. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conversion of voice-over-IP media control messaging into mobile control channel signaling using a voice-over IP gateway. SOLUTION: A gateway serving as an interface between a mobile network and a wireless network can be configured to send a signal strength indicator to the mobile network thereby causing the mobile network to recognize the gateway as a valid path for handing over a call. The wireless network can be configured according to one of the 802.11 wireless communications protocols. The gateway can route the call from the mobile network to a wireless access point of the wireless network via a packet-switched network, such that the call is conducted via a wireless communications link with the wireless access point. I/O CONTROLLER FOR MULTIPLE DISPARATE SERIAL MEMORIES WITH A CACHE An I/O controller for disparate serial memories and a cache memory for the controller, comprising a device data flow section with a device bus linking a A buffer RAM through registers to the respective memories and to a buffer register and further comprising a cache bus linking the buffer register to a cache memory and through a channel register to the main processor. Data is transferred from the disks to the buffer register through the buffer RAM. The device and cache data flows can proceed independently.

BATTERY OPERATED COMPUTER POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM A computer has two processors. A main processor operates under the control of an operating system and provides overall control of the computer for executing application programs. The main processor also assists in power management by executing certain interrupts and controlling a power control register to turn power on and off to various devices. A power management processor monitors ambient temperature and humidity, and battery conditions, and generates interrupts as a result of predetermined changes. Such processor also controls charging of the battery. Logic means are responsive to predetermined conditions to also generate interrupts.
