    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid deterioration in quality of an active speech and channel interruption by providing a multi-beam antenna whose direction is controllable to a base station in a time division multiplex permanent radio loop system and controlling a plurality of transmission and reception beams changed timewise and assignment of time slots in cross reference with each other and allowing the base station to make communication with a single terminal equipment in the assigned time slot. SOLUTION: A cell controller 25 based on information of a database 45 gives the instruction of configuring an antenna pattern to realize an optimum signal to interruption signal ratio to a transmission beam shape device 40a. The database 45 as information relating to an interference level between all possible channels in a cell and a possible channel in an adjacent cell and the information is updated by measuring signal strength periodically. A transmission frequency and a reception frequency are slightly different and a reception beam with an antenna pattern with a optimum signal to interference signal ratio is formed similarly.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow one and the same interrogator to serve a plurality of applications by using a modulated sub-carrier signal, so as to modulate a reflected continuous wave(CW) radio signal. SOLUTION: An antenna 301 of a tag 105 receives a down-link signal 204a, and a 1st modulation signal is demodulated directly to a base band at a detector/modulator 302. A demodulated signal 302 is amplified, and synchronization is recovered by a clock recovery circuit 304. A recover signal 304a is analyzed by a processor 305. The processor 305 generates other information signal 306, depending on a content of an information signal 200a, and the signal 306 is returned to an interrogator. The information signal 306 is fed to a modulator control circuit 307, to modulate a sub-carrier 308a by using the information signal 306. A modulation control circuit 307 outputs a modulated sub-carrier signal 311, the detector/modulator 302 modulates a CW radio signal of a down- link signal 202a, to generate a modulated back-scatter signal 301a.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently utilize a usable band, which is to be changed with the time of an RE channel, and to be flexibly adaptive to it by reprogramming and rearranging (reconfiguring) at least one programmable device. SOLUTION: A system performance measuring and optimizing (SPM/O) block 110 is arranged inside a reception chain 124. The SPM/O 110 monitors the performance of a channel 105, digital demodulator 106, channel decoder 107 and source decoder 108. Then, it is determined as needed which one of blocks 102-104 in a transmission chain 128 and which one of blocks 106-108 in the reception chain 124 are to be dynamically reconfigured. When reprogramming is required, the SPM/O 110 instructs the reprogramming of the programmable device to a programming logic 22.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To integrate passengers, baggages, cargoes, and containers by a single communication base without necessitating manual intervention at the time of reading data by providing an interrogator for transmitting a down-lank signal, and receiving a up-link signal, and a tag for receiving the down-link signal, and transmitting the up-link signal. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a radio frequency identifying system using a modulating back scatter, and a tag for transmitting data a various data rates is used. For example, a cargo container 810 having a container tag 820 is loaded through a door 840 of a cargo bay on an airplane 860. The container tag 820 is fixed to the cargo container 810, and the cargo container 810 can be identified when it is allowed to pass through a cargo handling facility, and the entrance or exit of the air plane or the like. An interrogator 103 at the upper part of a crane 850 reads an airplane tag 830, and communicates identification information indication which baggage, cargo, and container is loaded on the airplane 860, and the identification information of the door 840 of the cargo bay to a handling system.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the influence of noises, etc., of an oscillator by using an orthogonal phase shift key and also to extend this key to a higher dimension in an MBS(modulation back scatter) system. SOLUTION: An application processor 101 communicates with the question units 103 and 104 via a LAN 102, and the units 103 and 104 communicate with one or plural ones of tags 105 to 107. The unit 103 receives and fetches an information signal from the processor 101 and sends a message (down link message) and then the continuous wave radio signals to the tags. The tags modulate the received continuous wave radio signals via an MBS system. An antenna is switched to a reflector state from an absorber state for radiation of the radio frequency by a modulation signal. Thus, the communication to the question units from the tags via the MBS system is made possible.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent other party from intercepting conversation of people in the vicinity of a voice data link by allowing the receiver to have a processor that converts a voice signal having transaction data into an electric signal and extracts the transaction data from the electric signal and a filter that eliminates part of signals of voice of people which may be received by the microphone. SOLUTION: A voice data receiver 10 prevents leakage of conversation of people in the vicinity of a voice data link formed between a receiver 10 being part of a radio acquisition device 110 and a voice signal source 10a. A microphone 14 transduces a sound wave into an electric signal through the transmission of data to other processor or through data processing in a processor 14a contained in a radio wave acquisition device 110. The arrival of the voice signal to the processor 14a is prevented and interception is inhibited by using a voice filter 16 before the microphone 14 or an electric filter 17 after the microphone 14.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide design of a comparatively inexpensive tag for radio- frequency identification(RFID) system application, in which high sensitivity and a wide effective range are not so much of important. SOLUTION: RFID tag design using an inexpensive back scattering modulator is provided. The modulator is a simple CMOS gate 202 that is driven by a shift register 203, including a modulation signal. The CMOS gate is connected to an antenna 201 so as to modulate a reflectance of an antenna according to the modulation signal. In the 2nd embodiment, a tag is contained in a single CMOS integrated circuit, including all configuration elements required, to realize an inexpensive read-only RFID tag, except for the antenna.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce interference from other transmitters and other receivers by calculating an optimum weight vector for optimizing the signal-to-total- interference-signal ratio of an antenna beam based on data relating to mutual interference level. SOLUTION: The weight vector for optimizing the signal-to-total-interference- signal ratio (S/TI) in antenna output is generated, based on the data relating to the mutual interference level. Then, the optimum weight vector is stored and used in the same time slot in a later frame. Then, the S/TI is calculated, supplied to a cell controller 25 and finally supplied to the other cell controller inside a cluster as well. Simultaneously, a beam formation electronics forms a beam. The signals received by the K pieces of radiation antenna elements are multiplied with the corresponding components of the weight vector by a multiplier 42, the total sum is obtained and a radiation pattern for optimizing the S/TI in the antenna output is generated.
