Abstract:
Terminal structure for electrical connection when a battery pack (100) (mounting part) has a main body side terminal (30) and the battery pack (mounting part) has a battery side terminal (120) (mounting part side terminal) to be brought into contact with the main body side terminal. Terminal pieces (31) of the main body side terminal are inserted/molded in an upper frame body (13) (molded member) and the upper frame body (molded member) has two guide pieces (32, 32) integrally arranged so as to sandwich the terminal pieces.
Abstract:
Contact of terminals of a component to be loaded on a device and terminals on the device are avoided, even if the component is similar to, but differs from, a component intended to be loaded on that device. A discriminating tab is provided in the vicinity of the component terminals and a blocking portion is provided in the vicinity of the device terminals. The discriminating tab and blocking portion are relatively positioned to provide concave and convex interference or engagement with each other, either to block connection of the component terminal with the device terminal because of interference if the component is not permitted to be loaded on the device, or to permit connection of the component terminal with the device terminal because of engagement.
Abstract:
Stable contact is obtained between a main body device and a mounting part having terminals to be brought into electrical contact. For this, there is provided a terminal structure for electrical connection when a battery pack (100) (mounting part) is mounted on a video camera (1) (main body device). The video camera (main body device) has a main body side terminal (30) and the battery pack (mounting part) has a battery side terminal (120) (mounting part side terminal) to be brought into contact with the main body side terminal. Terminal pieces 31, 31, 31 of the main body side terminal are inserted/molded in an upper frame body (13) (molded member) and the upper frame body (molded member) has two guide pieces 32, 32 integrally arranged so as to sandwich the terminal pieces. Moreover, terminal members 122, 122 of the battery side terminal (mounting part side terminal) are inserted/molded in a terminal case 121 (molded member). The terminal case (molded member) has guide grooves 123, 123 corresponding to the aforementioned guide pieces. By engaging the guide pieces in the guide grooves formed on the battery pack (mounting part), it is possible to perform positioning between the main body side terminal and the battery side terminal (mounting part side terminal).
Abstract:
In case a similar component-to-be-loaded is erroneously loaded on a main body side apparatus, contact of terminals are avoided. To this end, a video camera (main body side apparatus) 1 has a main body side terminal 30, and a battery pack (component-to-be-loaded) 100 has a battery side terminal (component-to-be-loaded side terminal) 120. In the vicinity of the battery side terminal of the component-to-be-loaded, a discriminating tab 111 is provided, and a blocking portion 19 is provided in the vicinity of the main body side terminal of the video camera (main body side apparatus) for determining whether or not its loading is permitted based on the combination of concave and convex engagement with respect to the above-mentioned discriminating tab, and when the loading is not permitted due to the interference between the blocking portion and the above-mentioned discriminating tab, an electric connection between the main body side terminal and the battery side terminal (component-to-be-loaded side terminal) is not to be established.
Abstract:
The invention aims at miniaturizing electronic devices and accessory devices. A connector on an electronic device includes a pair of locking plates, a guide groove, and a space. Each locking plate has, on its edge, a first concave portion, a first convex portion, a second concave portion, and a second convex portion. An intermediate surface for determining a position of an accessory device below the guide groove is provided below the second concave portions and the second convex portions. A contact mounting surface provided with plural contacts is provided below the first convex portions. Guide surfaces for determining a position of the accessory device in the width direction of the guide groove are provided below the first concave portions and the first convex portions.

Abstract:
A connector for printed circuit boards, particularly for flexible ones such as FPC or FFC, has an insulating housing (2) with a recess (7) opened up and base contacts (3) held in the housing at regular intervals and each having a resilient beam (14) and an arm (5) integral with the beam. Each beam has a conductive protrusion (17) in the recess, and each arm extending along the housing's top into the recess has a pivotal end (18) facing the protrusion. An insulated pressing cover (4) engaging with the pivotal ends is rotatable between its pressing position adjacent to and its releasing position remote from the protrusions. The pivotal ends (18) lock the cover then pushing the circuit board (30) against the resilient beams (14). The cover has cover contacts (20) rotatably engaging with the pivotal ends and corresponding to the base contacts (3), so that the pivotal ends, the cover contacts (20) and the printed circuit board (30) are electrically connected to each other at the pressing position.
Abstract:
An illuminative display device for use in an electronic apparatus including a cabinet with a metallic color surface and having at least a main function and a subsidiary function. The display device comprises a light source and a transparent sheet spaced apart therefrom by a predetermined distance, wherein a colored layer composed of a thin film and being the same or substantially the same in color as the metallic color of the cabinet is formed on one side of the transparent sheet opposed to the light source, and a backing layer with cutout characters is formed on one side of the colored layer opposed to the light source, so as to display the characters relative to the subsidiary function. And other display characters relative to the main function are shown on the surface of the transparent sheet at positions not overlapping with the display characters relative to the subsidiary function. The display characters are completely invisible when the illuminating light is turned off, whereby the appearance of the display device is rendered congruous with the metallic or similar color of the surrounding cabinet.

Abstract:
An image recording/replaying device, such as a video camera, has various operating switches which have enhanced operability so as to suit a mode of use. The image recording/replaying device includes an image display section (3) that is foldably, unfoldably, and rotatably supported at a body (2) internally incorporating a taking lens (4). The image recording-replaying device also includes a control switch (14) including an operating key (15) and a plurality of contacts disposed at end portions and an intersection of a cross-shaped portion of the operating key in correspondence with end portions and the central portion of the operating key, in which, by pressing any one of the end portions and the central portion of the operating key, the contact disposed in correspondence with the pressed portion is closed. The control switch further includes direction selection switches which are such that particular directions within a display screen of the image display section correspond to the directions of the positions of the four end portions of the operating key. The direction selection switches are such that the directions used within the display screen of the image display section and corresponding to the directions of the positions of the four end portions of the operating key are changed in accordance with a change in the orientation of the image display section resulting from rotation of the image display section.
