    Abstract: A conjugated fiber having a sheath-core conjugated structure comprising a polyester core component composed mainly of polyethylene terephthalate and a polyamide sheath component composed mainly of polyhexamethylene adipamide, is disclosed, which has excellent mechanical properties such as a high tenacity, a high modulus, and an improved dimensional stability, and an improved adhesion to a rubber, especially a high-temperature adhesion, an improved heat resistance in a rubber, and a high fatigue resistance, and thus is useful as an industrial material. By adopting a high-speed spinning procedure in the fiber preparing process, the peel resistance in the interface of the sheath-core conjugated structure is greatly improved, and the following valuable characteristics not possessed by conventional conjugated yarns can be obtained: (1) Excellent adhesion and high-temperature adhesion comparable to those of a polyamide, which cannot be obtained in a polyester. (2) High modulus and dimensional stability comparable to those of a polyester, which cannot be obtained in a polyamide. (3) A heat resistance in a rubber and a fatigue resistance superior to those of a polyester. p

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a low-cost molded product, containing an electrically conductive substance in the interior of a liquid crystal resin and having a high strength, electric conductivity and heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:A molded electrically conductive product, consisting of a liquid crystal resin, containing an electrically conductive substance in the interior thereof and having OMEGA.cm specific resistance. A liquid crystal polyester or polyester amide is used as the liquid crystal resin. An electrically conductive layer structure containing >=5wt.% electrically conductive substance or streaky structure or both are present in the interior and a polymer forming the structure is a liquid noncrystal resin with >=2% moisture absorption. Carbon black, copper, aluminum, iron, etc., are used as the electrically conductive substance and the liquid crystal resin having >=13000 molecular weight with cavities present therein is used.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a TLCP molded product having high conductivity, high heat resistance and high mechanical strength, by bonding a conductive inorg. substance to the surface of a molded product composed of specific liquid crystal polyallylate or polyesteramide having a mesogen group in the main chain thereof. CONSTITUTION:A molded product is composed of TLCP (liquid crystal polyallylate or polyesteramide) having a mesogen group in the main chain thereof and a conductive inorg. substance is bonded to the surface of the molded product and TLCP has no exothermic peak based on melting at 200 deg.C or more when the polymer is measured by a differential scanning calorimeter sealed by nitrogen. Herein, X and Y are a terminal group such as an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a cyano group and A-B is a unit 2. As the conductive inorg. substance, tin oxide is especially pref. and the bonding amount thereof is at least 0.1wt.% or more and the film thickness thereof is 0.1mum or more.
