Abstract: PURPOSE: A FEC encoding and FEC decoding method of a variable-length packet using a 3D storage unit is provided to reduce transmission delay, by transmitting a data packet promptly even though all related packet groups for generating a parity packet are not inputted. CONSTITUTION: A data packet is inputted(440). The inputted data packet is connected to a 3D storage device(450). Storage width of the 3D storage device becomes storage length. Data region height of the 3D storage device becomes storage height. FEC coding is performed. Each parity packet for the arranged data packet along horizontal direction or vertical direction is calculated(460).
