Abstract: The present invention provides a side insulator comprising: a flame retardant non-woven fabric; a sound absorbing material which is attached to the flame retardant non-woven fabric on one side; and a rigid stiffening member which is attached on the other side of the sound absorbing material on one side and is made of a more rigid material than the sound absorbing material. Additionally, provided is a manufacturing method for the side insulator which comprises: a first thermoforming step of applying heat within the range of 190 to 230°C after laminating the rigid stiffening material made of a polypropylene material containing kenaf, the sound absorbing material made of a polyurethane-mixed material, and the flame retardant non-woven fabric; a second thermoforming step of applying heat within the range of 190 to 230°C and pressing the rigid stiffening material, the sound absorbing material, and the flame retardant non-woven fabric; and a cold forming step of pressing the rigid stiffening material, the sound absorbing material, and the flame retardant non-woven fabric within the range of 0 to 20°C.
