Abstract: Disclosed are elastomeric compounds including an elastomer, a silica coated carbon black, and optionally including a coupling agent. Elastomeric compounds incorporating an elastomer and an oxidized, partially coated carbon black are also disclosed. Also disclosed are silica coated carbon black/elastomeric formulations using a variety of elastomers useful in a variety of product applications.

Abstract: Podstat zpusobu výroby agregátu obsahujícího saznou fázi a fázi druhu obsahujícího kremík spocívá v tom, že zahrnuje: a) zavedení první výchozí suroviny do prvního stupne vícestupnového reaktoru; b) zavedení alespon jedné následné výchozí suroviny do vícestupnového reaktoru v míste ležícím za uvedeným prvním stupnem, pricemž alespon jedna z výchozích surovin obsahuje smes rozkladu podléhající nebo tekavé slouceniny obsahující kremík a výchozí suroviny poskytující saze a ostatní zavedené výchozí suroviny v prípade, že neobsahují uvedenou smes rozkladu podléhající nebo tekavé slouceniny obsahující kremík a výchozí suroviny poskytující saze, obsahují rozkladu podléhající nebo tekavou slouceninu obsahující kremík nebo surovinu poskytující saze; c) provoz uvedeného reaktoru pri teplote dostatecné pro rozklad slouceniny obsahující kremík a pro pyrolýzu slouceniny poskytující saze za vzniku agregátu; a d) izolaci agregátu, jakož i uvedený agregát, elastomerní kompozice obsahující tento agregát a zpusob zlepšení odolnosti proti smyku na mokrém povrchu a valivého odporu této elastomerní kompozice zavedením uvedeného agregátu do kompozice.

Abstract: Elastomerní smesi obsahující elastomer a sazný agregát, který obsahuje uhlíkovou fázi a fázi druhu obsahujících kremík, a prípadne vazebné cinidlo. Resení se dále týká sazného agregátu obsahujícího uhlíkovou fázi a fázi druhu obsahujících kremík dodávající pri pouzití v elastomerní smesi elastomeruslabsí odolnost proti oderu, srovnatelnou nebo vyssí tangentu ztrátového úhlu pri nízké teplote a nizsí tangentu ztrátového úhlu pri vysoké teplote nez neosetrené saze, pripravitelného zavedením suroviny tvorící saze a tekavé slouceniny obsahující kremík zvolené ze silikátu, silanu a tekavých silikonových polymeru do reakcní zóny reaktoru; odparením uvedených slozek; vystavením slozek vysokým teplotám v reaktoru, pri kterých se v reakcní zóne rozpadají a reagují tak, ze se druhy obsahující kremík stávají neoddelitelnou soucástí sazí; a prudkýmzhásením reakcního proudu. Tato elastomerní smes vykazuje slabsí odolnost proti oderu v neprítomnosti vazebného cinidla, nizsí hysterezi pri vysoké teplote a srovnatelnou nebo zvýsenou hysterezi pri nizsí teplote v porovnání s elastomerem obsahujícím neosetrené saze. Resení se rovnez týká elastomerních smesí, ve kterých je zabudován elastomer a zoxidovaný sazný agregát a zpusobu prípravy elastomerních smesí.

Abstract: A method of making an aggregate comprising at least a carbon phase and a silicon-containing species phase is disclosed. The method involves introducing a first feedstock into a first stage of a multi-stage reactor, and introducing a second feedstock into the reactor at a location downstream of the first stage. The first and second feedstock comprise a carbon black-yielding feedstock, and at least one feedstock also comprises a silicon-containing compound. The reactor is operated at a sufficient temperature to decompose the silicon-containing compound and to pyrolize the carbon black-yielding feedstock. An additional method is disclosed which involves making an aggregate comprising a carbon phase and a silicon-containing species phase using multi-stage reactor having at least the stages for introducing a feedstock, wherein at least one of the feedstocks comprises a carbon black-yielding feedstock and wherein at least one of the feedstock comprises a silicon-containing compound. Besides producing the aggregate comprising a carbon phase and a silicon-containing species phase, silica and/or carbon black may also result from the processes of the present invention. A further method is disclosed which involves making an aggregate comprising a carbon phase and a metal-containing species phase using a multi-stage reactor having at least two stages for introducing feedstocks, wherein at least one of the feedstocks comprises a carbon black-yielding feedstock and where at least one of the feedstocks comprises a metal-containing compound. The aggregates of the present invention when incorporated into elastomeric compositions preferably lead to improved wet skid resistance properties.
