Abstract:
Disclosed are elastomeric compounds including an elastomer and a silicon-treated carbon black, and optionally including a coupling agent. The elastomeric compound exhibits poorer abrasion resistance in the absence of a coupling agent, lower hysteresis at high temperature and comparable or increased hysteresis at low temperature compared to an elastomer containing an untreated carbon black. A variety of elastomers and formulations employing such elastomers are contemplated and disclosed. Elastomeric compounds incorporating an elastomer and an oxidized, silicon-treated carbon black are also disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for preparing elastomers compounded with the treated carbon black.

Prezenta inventie se refera la compusi elastomerici care contin negru de fum tratat cu siliciu si, optional, cu continut dintr-un agent de cuplare. Un compus elastomeric, conform inventiei, prezinta rezistenta redusa la abraziune, în absenta agentului de cuplare, histerezis scazut la temperatura ridicata si histerezis comparabil sau mai mare la temperatura scazuta, relativ la un elastomer care contine negru de fum netratat. Este descrisa o mare varietate de elastomeri si formulari care contin astfel de elastomeri. De asemenea, sunt prezenti sicompusi elastomerici care contin un elastomer, un oxidant si negru de fum tratat cu siliciu. Mai sunt descrise un procedeu de tratare si un procedeude preparare a unui compus elastomeric, precum siutilizarea compusului elastomeric pentru fabricare de diferite articole.

Un compuesto elastomérico que comprende un elastómero y un negrode humo tratado con silicio, en donde dicho negro de humo tratado con silicio le imparte al elastómero más pobre resistencia a la abrasión, comparable o más alta tangente de pérdida a baja temperatura y una más baja tangente de pérdida a temperatura alta, comparada con un negro de humo no tratado.3Un método para mejorar la histéresis de un compuesto elastomérico comprende mezclar un elastómero con negro de humo tratado con silicio y opcionalmente un agente de acoplamiento, en donde dicho negro de humo tratado con silicio imparte al elastómero una resistencia a la abrasión mas pobre, un tangente de pérdidas comparable o mayor a baja temperatura y una tangente de pérdidas menor a alta temperatura, comparado con un negro de humo no tratado.
