    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled adhesive composed of the pirncipal ingredient obtained by adding specific amounts of plural kinds of nonionic surface active agents to a composition of a synthetic rubber latex, etc. and PVA, and a crosslinking agent comprising an isocyanate compound, and capable of giving a highly stable adhesive solution, and of maintaining its adhesivity even after being left in a stacked state. CONSTITUTION:The objective adhesive is composed of (A) the principal ingredient obtained by mixing (i) 100pts.wt. (solid basis) of a modified or unmodified synthetic rubber latex (preferably the main component is open-chain aliphatic conjugated diene compound, a vinyl aromatic compound or an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid ester) with (ii) 10-150pts.wt. (solid basis) of PVA (preferably having a polymerization degree of 300-2,500 and a saponification degree of 80-100mol%), and if necessary, (iii) 50-600pts.wt. of a filler or extender, and adding (iv) 0.2-7pts.wt. each of two kinds of nonionic surface active agents having an HLB of >=17 and

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyimide resin compsn. excellent in fatigue resistance by compounding a polyimide having repeating units represented by specific formulas and a specified logarithmic viscosity with carbon fibers; glass fibers, arom. polyamide fibers, or K2TiO3 fibers. CONSTITUTION:A tetracarboxylic dianhydride (e.g. pyromellitic dianhydride) is thermally reacted with a diamine [e.g. 1,3-bis(3-aminophenoxy)benzene or 4,4'-bis(3-aminophenoxy)biphenyl] in an org. solvent in the presence of a blocking agent (e.g. an arom. dicarboxylic acid or an arom. monoamine) to give a polyimide which comprises repeating units represented by formulas I and II (wherein X is a group of formula II) in a molar ratio of the former unit to the latter of (0.5:0.5)-(1.0:0) and has a logarithmic viscosity of 0.45dl/g or higher. 100 pts.wt. the polyimide is melt mixed with 5-65 pts.wt. at least one kind of fiber selected from among carbon fibers, glass fibers, arom. polyamide fibers, and K2TiO3 fibers, kneaded, and pelletized, giving a polyimide resin compsn. excellent in fatigue characteristics.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To lower a current value and to lower a curing temp. by using a polyimide compd. having a specific repeating unit. CONSTITUTION:The oriented film formed on at least one of the surfaces, which come into contact with a liquid crystal, of the liquid crystal panel crimping a liquid crystal material between substrates, at least one of which is transparent, is formed of the polyimide high-polymer film having the repeating unit expressed by formula I. In the formula I, X denotes the group selected from groups consisting of a direct bond 1 to 10C bivalent chain hydrocarbon group, perfluoro(1-methylethylidene) group, carbonyl group, and thio group and the bond position of the nitrogen atom of the imide ring is in a meta or para position with respect to an ether bond. The current value and the curing temp. are lowered in this way.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the intra-ocular lens which has excellent bioadaptability and UV absorptivity, is chemically stable and has the heat resistance to allow the steam sterilization in an autoclave by providing a lens part and a fixing part for fixing the lens pat into the eye and constituting the lens part of colorless transparent polyimide having a specific chemical structure. CONSTITUTION:This lens has the lens part and the fixing part for fixing the lens part into the eye. The lens part is constituted of the colorless transparent polyimide essentially consisting of the repeating unit expressed by general formula (1). In the formula, X denotes the group selected from the groups consisting of a directly coupled 1 to 10C bivalent chain hydrocarbon group, perfluoro(1- methyl ethylidene) group, carbonyl group, and thio group and the bond position of the nitrogen atom of the imide ring is a metha or para position with an ether bond. The lens part has the bioadaptability, is chemically inert, has >=1.6 refractive index and completely absorbs UV rays of 200 to 380nm region.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the subject polymer having good thermal stability and excellent moldability as well as the original excellent characteristics by condensing bis[(aminophenoxy)benzoyl]benzene with a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride under a specified condition. CONSTITUTION:An aromatic diamine comprising 1,4- and/or 1,3-bis[4-(3- aminophenoxy)benzoyl]benzene of formula I is condensed with a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride (e.g. pyromellitic acid dianhydride) of formula II (R is a tetravalent group selected from >=2C aliphatic groups, monocyclic aromatic groups, etc.) in a ratio of 0.9-1mol of the compound of formula I per mol of the compound of formula II in the presence of an aromatic monoamine (e.g. aniline) of formula: Z-NH2 (Z is a monovalent group selected from monocyclic aromatic groups, condensed polycyclic aromatic groups, etc.) in an amount of 0.001-1mol per mol of the compound of formula II to provide the objective polymer having units of formula III as the basic skeleton thereof.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a polyimide having excellent moldability even after being kept at high temperatures for a long time without detriment to the excellent properties inherent in polyimide by reacting a specified diamine with a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride in the presence of a specified monoamine. CONSTITUTION:A component (i) is reacted with a component (ii) in the presence of a component (iii) in the production of a polyimide via a polyamic acid to obtain a polyimide having a basic skeleton comprising repeating units of formula IV (wherein X and R are the same as those in the following formulas I and II). Component (i): a diamine of formula I (wherein X is a carbonyl or a sulfone); component (ii): a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride of formula II (wherein R is a tetravalent group selected from among a 2C or higher aliphatic group, a cycloaliphatic group, a monocyclic aromatic group, a condensed polycyclic aromatic group and a noncondensed polycyclic aromatic group consisting of aromatic groups bonded together directly or through bridging members) and component (iii): aliphatic and/or cycloaliphatic monoamines of formula III (wherein Z is a 1-10C aliphatic group or a 3-10C cycloaliphatic group). The proportions of components (i), (ii) and (iii) are such that 0.9-1.0mol of component (i) and 0.001-1.0mol of component (iii) are present per mol of component (ii).
