    Abstract: This invention relates to fluorine containing polyimide, a novel aromatic diamine which has a perfluoroalkyl radical and can be used as a raw material monomer of the polyimide, and a process for preparing the same. The polyimide comprise a requisite structural unit having one or more recurring structural units of the formula: such as the structural units of the formula Further, the present invention relates to a novel aromatic diamine which has a perfluoro radical and can be used as a raw material monomer of the polyimide, and a process for preparing the same. The present invention can provide polyimide which has an extremely low dielectric constant and is colorless, transparent and excellent in processability and heat resistance, and also provides an aromatic diamine which is useful as a raw material monomer of the polyimide or a raw material of other various engineering plastics.

    Abstract: A polyimide resin composition comprises 1/ &cir& 99.9 SIMILAR 50 parts by weight of polyimide having recurring structural units of the formula and 2/ &cir& 0.1 SIMILAR 50 parts by weight of a polyimide having improved melt flowability and prepared by using 1,3-bis(3-aminophenoxy)benzene or 6,6'-bis(3-aminophenoxy)-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spirobiindane as essential diamine component, or polyether pyridine having recurring structural units of the formula: Further, a polyimide based resin composition comprising the polyimide resin composition or a polyimide copolymer obtained by using the above diamines and a fibrous reinforcement are disclosed. These composition have remarkably good processability, excellent heat stability and repeated fatigue characteristics.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyamic acid copolymer which develops excellent adhesiveness and bonding strength even under application conditions including a low bonding temperature and/or a low bonding pressure by subjecting a diamine mixture obtained by combining a group of specified diamine compounds in a specified compositional ratio and an aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride to a polymerization reaction. SOLUTION: The diamine mixture comprises an aromatic diamine represented by formula I (wherein X is a direct bond, O, CO, or the like; and R1 to R4 and R1 ' to R4 ' are each H, F, Cl, or the like) and an ethylene glycol diamine represented by formula II (wherein (m) is 1-3; and (n) is 0 or 1-3) and/or an alkylenediamine represented by formula III (wherein (k) is 2-12) and has a ratio of the number of moles of the aromatic diamine to that of moles of the other diamines of 0.05-1.0. The aromatic tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride is represented by formula IV (wherein Ar is formula V or the like). In the polymerization, the reaction temperature is -20 to 70 deg.C, and the reaction time is 1-48 hr.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject polyimide of high light transmittance, excellent in mechanical strength, dimensional stability and electrical insulation, useful for films, etc., by reaction between each specific diamine, tetracarboxylic dianhydride and aromatic dicarboxylic anhydride at specified proportion.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyimide resin compsn. excellent in adhesive and mechanical properties by adding a fibrous reinforcement to a polyimide obtd. by reacting a specific diamine mixture with a tetracarboxylic dianhydride. SOLUTION: This resin compsn. is prepd. by incorporating 5-100 pts.wt. at least one fibrous reinforcement selected from among carbon fibers, glass fibers, arom. polyamide fibers, and potassium titanate fibers into 100 pts.wt. polyimide obtd. by reacting a diamine mixture comprising 1mol of an arom. diamine represented by formula I (wherein R is a group represented by formula II or III) and 0.10-0.005mol of a diaminosiloxane compd. represented by formula IV (wherein (n) is 0-7) with at least one tetracarboxylic dianhydride selected from among pyromellitic dianhydride, biphenyltetracarboxylic dianhydride, and benzophenonetetrcarboxylic dianhydride. The incorporation of the reinforcement imparts excellent adhesive and mechanical properties to the compsn., from which a polyimide film and an adhesive are obtd.
