    Abstract: PURPOSE:To transcript an original record which is recorded with a short wavelength and a high track density with a high transcription efficiency by a method wherein a magnetic recording master medium and a magneto-optical slave medium having a magneto-optical effect are brought into contact with each other by compression and the contact part is heated. CONSTITUTION:A magneto-optical recording layer generates heat by the absorption of a laser beam and its coercive force is declined by the heat. When the temperature exceeds the Curie point, the coercive force becomes almost zero and the original recorded signals of a magnetic recording master medium 13 are magnetically transcripted to the magneto-optical recording layer. Further, if the magnetic recording master medium 13 and the magneto-optical slave medium are brought into contact with each other by compression while they are made to travel and the laser beam is successively applied to the contact part 17, the original recorded signals are successively transcripted to the magneto-optical recording layer magnetically and the transcription records of the original record and the mirror image are recorded on the magneto-optical recording layer.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve an wear resistance and also to effectively improve a sticking characteristic in spite of that the wear and damage of tape are made small by applying an amorphous coating on the surface of a metal guide body. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous coating to be formed on the surface, i.e., a peripheral surface of the metal guide body 1 is formed by well-known, e.g. a spattering method. That is, the surface of metal guide body 1 and a target of the spattering raw material are faced each other in a low-pressure argon atmosphere, and a voltage is impressed between them to generate a glow discharge, then the argon ionized by the glow discharge is made to collide against the raw material, i.e., the target, to fly the target material, thereby the amorphous coating 2 of objective material is made on the surface of a metal drum. By this procedure, a coefficient of friction is reduced, and the sticking characteristic, wear resistance, etc., are improved.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To draw an ideal track trace at recording even with the optical recording media in which a pre-formatted track does not exist. CONSTITUTION:Through a rotational optical scanning system, the light from a light source placed outside of the rotational optical scanning system is irradiated to an optical recording media and thus information is recorded in a recording media. Before information is recorded in an optical recording media, a reference recording media 12 on which an ideal track trace is formed is reproduced by executing tracking control. The information related with tracking control which is obtained at the above stated process is stored in a wave form memory 33. By using this stored information related with tracking control, information is recorded on an optical recording media while scan-controlling a recorded optical spot in order to draw an ideal track trace on it.

By the synergetic effect of a dynamic pressure from the revolution of the revolving middle drum 5 and discharged air from the spiral grooves 9a, 9b, the optical tape T is travelled in the floating state against the circumference of the drum.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of ruggedness on a recording surface of a tape-like optical recording medium due to wrinkles, etc., by providing a groove part of a prescribed shape in a part of the outer circumferential surface of a drum, on which the optical recording medium is slid in contact. CONSTITUTION:The tape-like optical medium 2 is wound around the outer circumference 21A of the rotary drum 21, and the optical recording medium 2 is irradiated by a light beam LA1 from an optical head 9 provided outside the drum 2, so that information is recorded and/or reproduced on the optical recording medium 2. In this case, the groove part 25 formed along an irradiating position of the light beam LA1 is provided on the outer circumferential surface 21B of the drum to be slid in contact with the side of the back side 2B of a recording area 2A of the optical recording medium 2 to be irradiated by the light beam LA1. Consequently, the recording area 2A of the optical recording medium to be irradiated by the light beam LA1 is always supported on its back side 2B by an air layer. By this method, even in case of a foreign matter such as dust, etc., mixed into between the optical recording medium 2 and the outer circumferential surface 21B of the rotary drum 21, etc., no ruggedness takes place on the surface of the tape-like optical recording medium 2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve a recording and reproducing characteristic by preventing reflection from a base layer and to prevent war due to the sliding of an optical tape from being generated by forming a reflection preventing layer by applying coating on the back plane of the base layer of the optical tape. CONSTITUTION:The reflection preventing layer 11 is formed on the back plane of the base layer 1A. In the layer 11, a light absorption factor can be heightened by coating carbon or graphite, etc., on the layer, and the wear at the time of sliding the tape with a tape supporting table 2 can be reduced. In such a way, a laser beam projected on a recording layer 1B on the optical tape 10 is reflected with high reflectance, however, the laser beam projected on the part of a pit P transmits a base 1A, which is scarcely reflected. Therefore, a noise component can be reduced and the recording and reproducing characteristic can be improved, and also, a coefficient of friction with the tape supporting table 2 can be reduced, thereby, durability can be improved.

CONSTITUTION:Modulated light beams L1-L4 which are radiated onto recording areas ER1-ER4 through objective lenses M1-M4 execute a scan so as to move along the irradiated position in its width direction in each recoding area ER1-ER4 as time elapses, as indicated with arrows a1-a4, respectively. Since the track length of the recording tracks ER1-ER4 of each channel is selected in advance to a sufficiently small value for practical use, an optical deflection angle of the modulated light beams L1-L4 emitted from optical information scanning parts LD1-LD4 of each optical head HD1-HD4 can be controlled to a sufficiently mall value for practical use. In this way, the condensing accuracy and the landing position accuracy on an optical recording medium 11 of the laser beams L1-L4 can be raised.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the drop in the high band of FM-demodulated wide band signals, by providing an equalizer circuit, whose reproduced frequency characteristic corresponding to the reverse wavelength characteristic almost coincides with the frequency corresponding to peaks and which has a frequency characteristic almost opposite to the frequency corresponding to peaks. CONSTITUTION:Video signals to be FM-modulated reproduced by a reproducing magnetic head 8 are supplied to an FM demodulator 11 through an equalizer circuit 10 after they are amplified by a reproducing amplifier 9 and the original video signals thus obtained are outputted to an output terminal 12. The reproduced frequency characteristic curve 14, peak, and peak corresponding frequency of the equalizer circuit 10 coincide with each other and represent the opposite frequency characteristic 15. Since the equalizer circuit 10 is constituted of a cascade circuit of a high-band intensifying equalizer 10H and low-band amplifying equalizer 10L, the frequency spectrum of reproduced video signals to be FM-modulated changes from the state shown by the curve 16, in which the level of double side-band drops, to the state shown by the curve 17, in which the double side-band is flat as a whole. Therefore, possibility of deterioration of reproduced video signals which are obtained by recording video signals after FM modulation and FM demodulating the reproduced signals of the recorded signal, can be eliminated.
