Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pile cloth excellent in soft feeling, resistance to hair falling-down, covering property, mottled feeling and print coloring property by using a pile yarn of polyester fibers containing specific S-letter like cross section fibers and cation-dyeable fibers. SOLUTION: This pile cloth is manufactured by using a pile yarn of polyester fibers containing >=0.01 wt.% of delustering agent such as titanium oxide and having 1.5-6 de single fiber size and comprising 20-100 wt.% of S-letter like cross section fibers having an aspect ratio in the cross section within the range of 0.5-3.5 and 20-80 wt.% of cation-dyeable polyester fibers. One of ground dyeing such as cotton dyeing, yarn dyeing or dyeing in a cloth liquid, or one of color printing, discharge printing, color printing after discharge dyeing or color printing containing discharge printing agent is applied to the pile part- constituting fibers to obtain the objective pile cloth.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester spun yarn giving a woven or knitted fabric having excellent bulky touch, soft surface touch, good tension, good stiffness and good resiliency by blending specific low shrinkage polyester staple fibers with specified high shrinkage polyester staple fibers in a specific ratio. SOLUTION: This polyester spun yarn is obtained blending low shrinkage polyester staple fibers with high shrinkage polyester staple fibers in a ratio of 30/70-80/20. Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comfortable long-sized pillow having enhanced hygroscopicity, a bulging feel and moderate hardness by using polyester short fibers having a specific hygroscopicity parameter or above as a part of wadding. SOLUTION: The hygroscopicity parameter ΔMR which is the driving force for obtaining comfortability by releasing the moisture between the wadding and the body to the outdoor air is defined as the difference obtd. by subtracting a moisture absorption rate at 20 deg.C×65% RH from the moisture absorption rate at 30 deg.C×90% RH and the polyester short fibers of >=2% in the hygroscopicity parameter ΔMR are used as a part of the wadding. As a result, the long-sized pillow eliminates a moist feel and is comfortable when the pillow is held in one's arms. In addition, the pillow has a soft touch and has the bulging feel and the moderate hardness in combination. The long-sized pillow having the good feel to hold in one's arms is obtd.
