    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the method for producing the extra fine fiber composite sheet excellent in the mechanical strength, heat resistance, flame retardancy and chemical resistance and having good flexibility and high water absorbency. CONSTITUTION:The method for producing the extra fine fiber composite sheet by spinning at least two kinds of fiber-forming polymers into conjugate fibers, producing a sheet-like product from the obtained conjugate fibers, applying a binder to the sheet-like product, and subsequently removing at least one of the polymers composing the conjugate fibers to leave the other polymer as the extra fine fibers is characterized by using at least one kind of polymer selected from a group of aromatic polymers containing thioether bonds in their main chain and aromatic polymers containing ether bonds as their main chain as the polymer composing the extra fine fibers and also using the emulsion of chlorosulfonated polyethylene and/or chlorinated polyethylene as the binder.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the molded article of a liquid crystal resin having high strength and excellent fibril resistance and crack resistance by adding a specific polyfunctional compound to a main chain type liquid crystal resin, molding the blend and thermally treating the resultant molded article at a specific temperature or above. CONSTITUTION:(B) Either one polyfunctional compound (preferably pyromellitic acid, trimellitic acid and derivative thereof) selected from B1: a compound having >=3 carboxylic groups, B2: a compound having >=3 acetyl groups and B3: a compound having at least acetyl group and carboxyl group and being >=3 in sum of the groups is added to (A) a main chain type liquid crystal resin (preferably liquid crystal polyester resin) whose at least one terminal group is either one of acetyl group, carboxyl group, hydroxyl group and amino group, and the nixture is blended and molded (preferably melt-molded using an extruder). Then the molded article is heat-treated at melting point (-100 deg.C) of the component A or above and preferably in vacuum or inert gas stream until the time when the component A is not melted, thus producing the objective molded article of liquid crystal resin.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To carry out the subject colorful dyeing of a molding of a resin having a high heat resistance, a high chemical resistance and a flame retardancy by treating the molding of the resin containing specified structural units with (fuming)sulfuric acid, etc., and then dyeing the molding using a cationic dye. CONSTITUTION:A molding of a resin containing at least structural units of formulae I and II ((n) is 1-3) is treated with either agent of sulfuric acid, fuming sulfuric acid, chlorosulfonic acid or sulfuric trioxide and then dyed using a cationic dye, thus obtaining the objective dyed molding.
