PURPOSE: A hybrid passive optical network (PON) system is provided to render a hybrid wavelength division multiplexing (WDM)/time division multiplexing (TDM) passive optical network (PON) system using an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) optical modem. CONSTITUTION: A seed light source (105) outputs a seed light having a predetermined wavelength. An optical transmitter modulates the seed light generated from the seed light source using a reflective modulator and transmits a modulated OFDM downstream optical signal to at least one optical network unit (ONU). An optical receiver receives an OFDM upstream signal from the at lest one ONU.

PURPOSE: An optical transmission device in a WDM-PON(Wavelength Division Multiplexing-Passive Optical Network) and an optical transmission method thereof are provided to reduce the reflection sensitivity in an optical link by extending the line width of an output spectrum in a laser diode. CONSTITUTION: A laser diode(10) generates an optical signal. The laser diode uses the generated optical signal as a seed light. A control unit(20) controls to output the optical signal by applying direct bias and an RF(Radio Frequency) signal to the laser diode in the threshold current of the laser diode. PURPOSE: A wavelength non-dependence optical source operating apparatus is provided to optimally operate wavelength non-dependence optical sources based on the identified wavelength values by using a wavelength identification signal. CONSTITUTION: A seed optical signal generation unit(130) creates one or more seed optical signals based on wavelength identification signals(121~123). A wavelength optical detecting unit(170) detects the wavelength identification signals from the created seed optical signals. An extraction unit(180) extracts wavelength values matched with the detected wavelength identification signal. The extraction unit extracts the operation condition of a wavelength-independent optical source matched with the extracted wavelength values. An operating unit(190) operates the wavelength non-dependence optical sources.

PURPOSE: A plug type optical transmitting and receiving module is provided to improve the spatial utility of the module by changing the structure of small form-factor pluggable main body and the structure of a printed circuit board. CONSTITUTION: A main body(10) is composed of an upper body(12) and a lower body(14). A light transmitting element(20) and a light receiving element are installed in the main body. A printed circuit board controls each element by being in connection with the light transmitting element and the light receiving element. The printed circuit board is composed of a first printed circuit board(32), a second printed circuit board(34), and a third printed circuit board(36). A standard light connector(24) is combined with the front side of the main body.

PURPOSE: An open type optical subscriber network system is provided to enable a user to change services by connecting a plurality of service and user through an optical infra without wavelength selectivity. CONSTITUTION: An optical line terminal part transmits and receives the optical signal of the specific transmission channel among the entire transfer channel which the light infra accepts. The optical network end part transmits a modulated optical signal of the predetermined transmission channel in the optical line terminal part to the optical line terminal part. An optical line terminal part and the optical distribution/joint part are included in the optical line terminal part.

PURPOSE: A dynamic scratchpad memory management device, a method, and a processor system are provided to accomplish high performance and low power consumption of the processor system by removing overhead for SPM administration of software based on hardware. CONSTITUTION: A SPM(130) provides the fast data access to a processor(10). A dynamic scratchpad memory management unit(110) manages the SPM. A SPM page converter unit(120) converts the virtual address of the scratchpad virtual page within extension bits into the address of the scratchpad physical page. A dynamic memory access control unit(140) stores data of the main memory(20) in the SPM.

PURPOSE: An optical transmitting device at WDM-PON with improvement of reflection sensitivity and a method thereof are provided to improve stability and reliability of an optical link by making the optical link less sensitive to reflection. CONSTITUTION: A laser diode(10) produces an optical signal and uses the produced optical signal as seed light. A controller unit(20) extends line widen of an output spectrum of the laser diode by approving DC bias and RF signal to the laser diode on electricity of the laser diode. The controller unit comprises the input control part and the output control uniting the optical signal outputted by each wavelength, and uses the combined optical signal as the seed light.
