Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a new N-alkylamide alkanol sulfuric ester salt widely useful as a cleaning agent for hair, skin, tableware, etc., having low irritation to skin, excellent foaming power and cleaning power. CONSTITUTION:This compound is expressed by formula I [R is a 6-22C alkyl or alkenyl; R is a 1-22C alkyl, alkenyl or H; R is a l-5C alkylene; R O is a 2-3C alkylene; (n) is 0-20; (n) R Os may be the same or different; M is H, an alkaline (earth) metal, ammonium, an alkanolammonium having 2-9 total carbon atoms, an alkylammonium having 1-22 total carbon atoms, an alkenylammonium, a 1-18C alkyl- or alkenyl-substituted pyridinium or a basic amino acid] such as sodium N-dodecyl-1-sulfoxyacetamide. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound of formula IT with a compound of formula III to give a compound of formula IV, reacting the compound of formula IV with an alkylene oxide in the presence of an alkali or an acid catalyst to give a compound of formula V, reacting the compound of formula IV or formula V with sulfating agent and then neutralizing.

PURPOSE:To prepare a hair shampoo giving low stimulation to the skin and hair, exhibiting excellent foaming and cleaning activities and having excellent conditioning effect. CONSTITUTION:This hair shampoo contains (A) an alkyl saccharide surfactant such as a compound of formula I (R is 5-18C alkyl, alkenyl or alkylphenyl; G is 5-6C reducing sugar residue; (x) is 0-20; (y) is 1-10), (B) a quaternary ammonium salt compound having secondary or tertiary amino group and a quaternary ammonium group on aliphatic chain or an ether, ester or acyl compound having aliphatic chain, e.g. a compound of formula II [R is 7-35C alkyl or alkenyl; R to R are 1-4C alkyl, hydroxyalkyl or H; M is CONJ (J is alkyl or hydroxyalkyl), O or COO; Y is H, alkyl, alkenyl, group of formula III, etc.; X is H or OH; A is halogen ion or organic anion; (m) is 2 or 3; (n) is 0-5], (C) an anionic surfactant and (D) a water-soluble polymer.

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, containing a specific quaternary ammonium salt type compound and a silicone derivative, having low irritancy to the skin and hair, excellent in high foaming properties, high washing properties and resistance to hard water and simultaneously capable of exhibiting excellent conditioning effects. CONSTITUTION:A shampoo composition containing a quaternary ammonium salt type compound having secondary or tertiary amino group and quaternary ammonium group in an aliphatic chain or an ether, an ester or an acyl compound having the aliphatic chain {preferably a compound expressed by formula I [R is alkyl or alkenyl; R to R are alkyl or hydroxyalkyl; M is CONG (G is H, alkyl or hydroxyalkyl), O or COO; Y is H, alkyl, etc.; X is H or OH; A is halogen, etc.; m is 2 or 3; n is 0-5] (e.g. a compound expressed by formula II) and a silicone derivative (e.g. dimethylpolysiloxane). The composition is capable of imparting touch such as flexibility and smoothness and excellent combing properties to hair after washing.

PURPOSE:To obtain a shampoo composition giving little stimulation to the skin and hair, exhibiting good frothing power and detergency and having conditioning effect by combining a specific betaine-type compound with a silicone derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective shampoo composition contains a betaine-type compound of formula I [R is 8-22C alkyl, alkenyl or hydroxyalkyl; X is H or OH; R to R are 1-5C alkyl; Y is CH2CH(OH)CH2SO3, (CH2)nSO3 or (CH2)n' CO2 ((n) is 2-5; (n') is 1-5)[ [[e.g. N-dodecyl-N-(3-trimethylammonio-2- hydroxypropyl)-aminoacetate] and a silicone derivative (e.g. dimethylpoly- siloxane or polyether-modified silicone). The compounding amount of the betaine- type compound is 0.1-50wt.% for liquid, 0.1-80wt.% for paste and 50-99wt.% for solid or powder and that of the silicone derivative is preferably 0.01-2wt.%, especially 0.1-0.8wt.%.

CONSTITUTION:An amino compound shown by formula I (R is 5-21C alkyl or 521C alkenyl; R is 1-5C alkyl or 1-5C hydroxyalkyl; M is H, alkali metal, alkanol-containing mono-, di- or trialkanolammonium, 1-5C alkyl-substituted ammonium or basic amino acid; p is 1 or 2; q is 0 or 2; r is 0 or 2; when p=1, q is 2 and r is 0 when p=2, q is 0 and r is 2; n is 0 or 1, when n=2, m is 1-5 and when n=1, m is 1) such as a compound shown by formula III. The compound shown by formula I is obtained by reacting a compound shown by formula II with an alkylene oxide, an alkyl halide or a dialkyl sulfate to give a compound shown by formula IV and reacting this compound with a compound shown by formula V (X is halogen).

PURPOSE:To obtain a new aminocarboxylic acid compound useful as a surfactant for cleaning head or body, having mild action on skin, excellent foaming power and cleaning power. CONSTITUTION:An aminocarboxylic acid compound shown by formula I (A and D are R or CH2COOM; B is H or CH2COOM; R is 6-22C straight-chain alkyl or branched chain alkyl; M is H, alkali metal ion, NH4 , 1-5C alkyl group- substituted ammonium ion or basic amino acid group; n is 2-8 integer; when A is R, B is H and D is CH2COOM; when D is R, A is CH2COOM and B is H or CH2COOM) or a salt thereof, such as a compound shown by formula II. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound shown by formula III with a compound shown by the formula RX (X is halogen) in the molar ratio of 1-10:1 in the presence of an alkali substance and reacting the prepared compound shown by formula IV to V with a compound shown by formula VI in a molar ratio of 1:1-2.5 in the presence of an alkali substance.

PURPOSE:To prepare uniform tabular polymer particles, useful as a body material of a cosmetic, coating material, and ion-exchange resin and as a packing for chromatography and having easily controllable thickness and size by cooling a polymer particle dispersion below the freezing point of the dispersion medium, and then heating the dispersion to a temp. lower than the Tg of the polymer. CONSTITUTION:A dispersion of polymer particles (having a mean particle diameter of 500nm or lower and pref. a Tg of 50-90 deg.C), e.g. an emulsion of polystyrene, is cooled below the freezing point of the dispersion medium, and then heated to a temp. lower, pref. by about 5 deg.C lower, than the Tg of the polymer to melt it, thus giving flattened, tabular polymer particles having a mean thickness of 0.01-100mum and a length of at least 10 times the thickness.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic product which prevents irregular bleaching or non-uniform dyeing and also allows a sufficient bleaching power or dyeing power to be obtained by discharging a hair bleach or hair dye in foam form from a non-aerosol type foamer vessel.SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic product includes: a two-agent type hair cosmetic which comprises a first agent containing an alkali agent and a second agent containing hydrogen peroxide, wherein at least one of the first and second agents contains a surfactant; and a foamer vessel which discharges a mixed liquid comprising the first and second agents in the form of foam. Another hair cosmetic product includes: a two-agent type hair cosmetic which comprises a first agent containing an alkali agent and a second agent containing hydrogen peroxide, and which is used after mixing the first and second agents immediately prior to use; and a foamer vessel which discharges a mixed liquid of the first and second agents in the form of foam, wherein a surfactant is contained in the mixed liquid in an amount of 0.1 to 10 wt.%, and the viscosity of the mixed liquid at 25°C is 1 to 300 mPa s.
