    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cement additive having a high flowability of a curing agent and a viscosity-reducing property for clay materials and satisfied with a standard strength, by compounding a phosphate salt and the water-soluble salt of the formaldehyde condensation or co-condensation product of a specific compound. CONSTITUTION:A cement additive comprises two components consisting of a phosphate salt and a compound of formula I or the water-soluble salt of the formaldehyde condensation or co-condensation product of one or more compounds selected from the methylolated or sulfonated products of a compound of formula II, II, or III wherein X1 is H, 1-3C alkyl, carboxyl, alkali metal salt thereof, sulfone group, alkali metal salt thereof hydroxyl group; Y1 is carboxyl group, alkali metal salt thereof sulfone group, alkali metal salt thereof; R is H, 1-3C alkyl. The water-soluble salt of the formaldehyde condensation or co-condensation product includes the sodium salt of a melaminesulfonic acid-formaldehyde condensation product.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain high strength concrete by producing concrete in the region of extremely highly reduced water content by using, as a cement dispersing agent, a highly condensed condensation product of aromatic sulfonic acid with formaldehyde or its salt and also using an admixture in combination with the above. CONSTITUTION:Concrete is produced in the region of extremely highly reducing water content, where the ratio of water/(cement + admixture) is 12-30%, by combinedly using blended cement, an admixture mentioned later, a condensation product of aromatic sulfonic acid with formaldehyde composed essentially of a high condensation product, in which the content of the salt of the condensation product of aromatic sulfonic acid with formaldehyde having =20000 or its salt. As the above condensation product of aromatic sulfonic acid with formaldehyde or its salt, e.g. a condensation product of naphthalenesulfonic acid, melaminesulfonic acid, etc., with formaldehyde or its salt can be cited. As the admixture, e.g. fly ash, cylinder ash, clinker ash, blast furnace slag, silica fume, etc., can be cited.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve preservation stability by incorporating a granular body of the Zn salt of a copolymer obtained by allowing ZnO or Zn(OH)2 to react with the copolymer of specific olefin and anhydride of ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:Anhydride of ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, such as maleic anhydride, is copolymerized with 2-8C olefin, such as isobutylene, by which a copolymer where average molecular weight is regulated to about 500-50,000 and the anhydride of ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid is contained by 30-60 pts.wt. in 100 pts.wt. of the copolymer is prepared. The granular body of this copolymer is dispersed into water and pH value is regulated to 6-9, and a granular body of ZnO or Zn(OH)2 of neutralization equivalent is added to the above and these are allowed to react at 50-95 deg.C, by which a Zn salt of copolymer is prepared. This Zn salt is crushed into a granular body of 0.1-50mum grain size, and this Zn salt of copolymer and a water-reducing admixture, e.g. of lignosulfonic acid type are combinedly used in a ratio of 1/99-99/1, by which a cement admixture can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the surface esthetic appearance of a concrete product and to make the surface thereof dense by applying an aqueous surfactant solution having specific surface tension to the inner surface of a retaining mold at the time of the manufacturing of the instantaneously demolded concrete product. CONSTITUTION:When stiff-consistency concrete is molded under pressure to prepare a concrete product, an aqueous surfactant solution having surface tension of 40dyn/cm or less is applied to the inner surface of a concrete retaining mold to markedly improve the surface esthetic appearance of the concrete product. The surfactant is not limited in its ionicity or structure and, even with respect to use concn., any aqueous solution having surface tension of 40dyn/ cm or less may be used. An embodiment of the surfactant, alkyl resistant, alkyl sulfate, alkylbetaine or the like are designated and they can be used alone as a mixture of two or more kinds of them. The coating amount of the aqueous surfactant solution is arbitrary in a degree uniformly wetting the surface of the retaining mold but pref. 5-50ml/m .

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent sustained release performance from deteriorating even in preservation for a long period by dispersing a fine particulate olefin- ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride copolymer and zinc (hydr) oxide in water and using the resultant dispersion as an admixture for cement. CONSTITUTION:An admixture for cement obtained by dispersing 100 pts.wt. fine particulate copolymer of a 2-8C olefin with an ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride having 0.1-20mum, desirably 0.1-5mum average particle diameter, preferably isobutylene-maleic anhydride copolymer (preferably about 500-50000 average molecular weight) and zinc oxide or hydroxide containing zinc in an amount of 1-2mol based on one ring in the copolymer in an amount of 15-300 pts.wt., desirably 40-100 pts.wt. expressed in terms of zinc in combination in water at pH 6-12. The above-mentioned admixture for cement is capable of both preventing performance of operability on concrete, etc., from deteriorating with time and remarkably improving preservation stability in water.
