    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a disk cartridge device which can selectively position and load different kinds of disk cartridges of different size in one recording and reproducing device without any trouble. SOLUTION: This device has 1st and 2nd disk cartridges 1 and 12 constituted by putting disks having different disk diameters in cartridge housings of different size, a cassette compartment 23 in which the 1st and 2nd disk cartridges 1 and 12 are selectively loaded, a couple of positioning pins 28 and 29 having pedestals 26 and 27 for height determination where the 1st disk cartridge 1 is positioned on the cassette compartment 23, a couple of positioning pins 32 and 33 having pedestals 30 and 31 for height determination where the 2nd disk cartridge 12 is positioned, and couples of positioning holes 9 and 10, and 20 and 21 on one-surface sides of the 1st and 2nd disk cartridges 1 and 12; and the positioning holes 20 and 21 are positioned outside the disk external diameter of the 1st disk cartridge 1.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the realizing of miniaturization and the reducing of power consumption and also the improving of the cassette insertion feeling. SOLUTION: A leaf spring 9 is used as a pressing means for pressing hooks 7a provided on a holder to hold the cassette so as to engage with the magnetic recording/reproducing device. Further, a leaf spring 8 which is retreated by the cassette at the time of inserting the cassette and returned to the initial position to pressurize the rear end part of the cassette when the cassette comes to the specified position, is used as a member for preventing the cassette from falling off provided on the holder.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To securely operate a light receiving part without being influenced by external light and without using a shield member for preventing the external light by arranging the light receiving part in a position shielded from the external light, such as in a tape cassette, etc. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted by both light sources 11 and 12 is passed through light detecting optical paths L1 and L2 in the tape cassette 1 to reach a tip part of a light transmission body 14, whereas the light is reflected and refracted by reflecting surfaces 14c and 14d, and is received by a photodetector 13. Under the state of receiving the light emitted by the light sources 11 and 12 by the photodetector 13, when a tape is traversing the optical paths L1 and L2, the light is not received by the photodetector 13, and when a light-transmissive leader tape connected to the tip side of the tape is traversing the optical path L1, only the light emitted by the light source 11 is received by the photodetector 13, and hence the tape top is detected. Then, when a leader tape on the rear end side is traversing the optical path L2, only the light emitted by the light source 12 is received by the photodetector 13 to detect the tape end. By this method, malfunction is diminished and the need of a shield member for preventing the external light is eliminated, and hence the constitution is simplified.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To surely position the inserting and taking off positions of a cassette by abutting the guide part of the cover part of a cassette holder against a pressing ball at two positions. CONSTITUTION:When a cassette 1 is loaded and subjected to a cover closing operation, a slider 17 slides the cassette to a rear part with the energizing of a spring 57. When the cover is opened by pushing an ejection button, the locking part 37a of a circular arcuate guide piece 35 and the ball 40 of a pressing member 38 are abutted and stop once in a temporarily releasing state and the dropping of the cassette is prevented by a dropping prevention piece 20. By opening the cover with a hand further, the ball 40 runs over a stepping part 37, abutting against the locking part 37b and the turning in the cover closing direction is regulated. Consequently the positioning of the insertion and taking off of the cassette is ensured by abutting the ball 40 against locking part 37 and the dropping of the cassette caused by a careless ejection operation can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the upper end edge of a tape from being pressed to an opening upper edge and broken during a tape pulling out operation by setting the opening upper edge of a tape outlet at a position deviation from an opening internal edge having a tape guide surface rearward of a cassette casing. CONSTITUTION:While a tape 10 is pulled outward of a tape outlet 90 from both tape guide surfaces 32, if a loading pin 95 or the like do not move with a normal condition correcly maintained as shown by full lines but incline in an arrow direction X as shown by chain lines, the upper end edge 96 of the tape 10 is prevented from being pressed onto an opening upper edge 92 of the tape outlet 90 and broken. The opening upper edge 92 is set at a position deviated by distance (l) backward of an opening inner edge 93. Thereby, even if the tape 10 is mover upward (Y direction as shown by an arrow) the upper end edge 96 of the tape 10 is not pressed onto the opening upper edge 92 and the damage of the upper end edge 96of the tape 10 can be prevented.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of dust to a tape, by covering the back of the tape surrounded along the opening of a cassette with an inner cover freely opened and closed, in a recorder and reproducer such as a video tape recorder. CONSTITUTION:At the initial state of a cover opening, a pair of guided pins 49 are moved to the rear upper direction by being guided with a pair of tilt parts 25. Thus, the inner cover 34 turns counter clockwise by taking a support pin 35 as a center and the lower end 39 is rapidly moved to the back side of the tape 6. Then, the lower end of a front cover 14 and a lower end 39 of the inner cover 34 are opened largely, and then even if the tape 6 is slacked more or less, damages to the tape 6 by bringing into contact with the front cover 14 and the inner cover 34 to the tape does not take place at all. At the end of the cover opening, the pair of pins are moved upward by being guided with a pair of bent parts 27. The lower end 39 of the inner cover 34 is moved upper back and comes to the outside of an upper notch 13.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism that drives to open/close a shutter with simple configuration.
    SOLUTION: The shutter opening/closing mechanism includes: the shutters 12 and 13; a base plate 14 which supports the shutters 12 and 13 turnably, and where an opening 26 on which external light is incident is formed; and a ring member 15 which is supported on the base plate 14 rotatably, and engaged with the shutters 12 and 13 to turn the shutters 12 and 13 in an opening direction of the opening 26 by rotating them in one direction, and turn the shutters 12 and 13 in a closing direction of the opening by rotating in the other. Either one of the base plate 14 and the ring member 15 is provided with a pair of magnets 34 and 35 in such a state that magnetic poles on an opposing side agree with each other, and the other is provided with a yoke 16 which is arranged between the pair of magnets and around the center part of which a coil 43 is wound. By reversing a direction of current of the coil 43, the magnetic poles at both ends of the yoke 16 are reversed, whereby the yoke 16 and the pair of magnets 34 and 35 are magnetically attracted or repulsed, to rotate the ring member 15.
