Abstract:
PURPOSE: A wire rope for a heavy-load crane such as a ladle crane which is irrotational but difficult to be broken by wear and fatigue of wires is provided, which can extend the service life of wires remarkably even when the wire rope is applied to a high-load crane in a steel mill and repeated bending is occurred. CONSTITUTION: This wire rope(1) comprises core strands(2) including a plurality of core strand wires laminated in the first layer direction and a plurality of side strands(3) laminated around the core strands in the second layer direction as the opposite of the first layer direction, and each side strand of which includes side strand wires laminated in the first layer direction and has a smaller pitch multiple than that of the wire rope, wherein the ratio of a diameter of the core strands to the side strands is about 1.3 to 1.8. The pitch multiple of strands is preferably about 5 to about 8 and the pitch multiple of the wire rope is preferably about 8 to about 10.
Abstract:
A steel cord is configured so that, when the steel cord is used as a tensile cord for an elastic crawler, a center-core dislocation and the earl y breakage of the wi res of a core are prevented. A steel cord comprises: a core which comprises a single core strand, and a sheath which is formed by twisting together six sheath strands arranged around the core. The core strand has a layer-twisted structure comprising: a center-core portion which is formed by twisting three core wires together; and an external layer portion which is formed by twisting together eight to nine core wires arranged around the center-core portion. The sheath strands each have either a bundle twisted structure which is formed by twisting twelve to nineteen sheath wires or a multi-layer twisted structure which is formed by twisting twelve to nineteen sheath wires in layers. The diameter (dc) of the core wires is greater than the diameter (ds) of the sheath wi res. The average gap (Gc) between the core wi res of the external layer portion is 0.015 mm or greater, and the average gap (Gs) between the sheath strands is 0.1 mm or greater.
Abstract:
This invention provides a pneumatic tire having its weight reduced without degrading the durability of bead portions. Provided is a pneumatic tire comprising, as a framework, at least one carcass ply comprising a steel cord covered with rubber. Letting d (mm) be the cord diameter of the steel cord and T (MPa) be the tensile strength of a steel filament forming the steel cord, the following relation is satisfied: a 1 T ˆ’ b 1 > d > a 2 T + b 2 (where a 1 is 3.65 × 10 -4 mm/MPa, b 1 is 0.42 mm, a 2 is -8.00 × 10 -5 mm/MPa, and b 2 is 0.78 mm), and the tensile strength T of the steel filament is 3000 MPa (exclusive) to 4000 MPa (exclusive) and the number of hits E under a bead core of the steel cord in the carcass ply is 12 hits/25 mm (exclusive) to 38 hits/25 mm (exclusive).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hybrid rope comprising a core element, a first and a second metallic closed layer surrounding said core element. The core element includes a bundle or construction of synthetic yarns. The first metallic closed layer includes a plurality of first wirelike members helically twisted together with the core element in a first direction. The second metallic closed layer includes a plurality of second wirelike members helically twisted together with said core element and said first metallic closed layer in a second direction. The cross-sectional area of the core element is larger than the total cross-sectional area of the first and second metallic closed layers.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A steel cord for a tire which increases a corrosion resistance and durability and improves the energy efficiency during curing of the tire and a radial tire using the same. This steel cord has an m+n twist structure comprising a core (11) containing m pieces of wires and a sheath (12) containing n pieces of wires, in which a rubber compound or an elastomer compound (13) is filled into a space between the core (11) and the sheath (12). Otherwise, the steel cord has a 1xN twist structure containing N pieces of wires, in which a rubber compound or an elastomer compound (13) is filled into a space at a cord center surrounded by the N pieces of wires.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a yarn composed of polytrimethylene terephthalate fibers, particularly polytrimethylene terephthalate multifilamentary fibers having a single-fiber size in a range from 1 to 56 dtex, which are collected together to have a total size in a range from 2000 to 22000 dtex. Further, the present invention provides a racket string composed of polytrimethylene terephthalate multifilamentary fibers having a single-fiber size in a range from 1 to 56 dtex, which are collected together to have a total size in a range from 7000 to 22000 dtex, and a musical instrumental string composed of polytrimethylene terephthalate multifilamentary fibers having a single-fiber size in a range from 1 to 56 dtex, which are collected together to have a total size in a range from 2000 to 14000 dtex. The yarn according to the present invention is high in strength, elastic recovery and stress-retaining ratio as well as excellent in water resistance, softness and homogeneity of yarn properties. The racket string according to the present invention can be set across a racket frame, for example, for tennis or other, games under a high tension, whereby high resilience is obtainable when the string is set, and maintained for a long time. Also, this racket string is excellent in impact resistance, durability and water resistant. The musical instrumental string is stable in tuning over time and with a change in humidity as well as excellent in tunability.
