Abstract:
The invention relates to a vacuum interrupter with double co-axial contact arrangement in which the inner contact has a TMF-like or Pin shape arranged within concentrically cup shaped AMF coil with a single layer or multilayered contact parts at each side, th.m. on the side of the a fixed contact arrangement as well as on the side of a movable contact arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1. In order to enhance this special construction furthermore in order to result high conductivity and low resistance, the invention is, that the outer cup shaped contact is made from a double or multiple layer arrangement, wherein at least one layer is made from a hard steel or steel alloy and at least a second layer is made from material with high thermal conductivity.
Abstract:
Two pairs of diagonally linked squares with rounded edges are used as fixed contacts in the production of keyboards. A direct connection is ensured in the diagonal direction; the squares consist of conductive lacquer (carbon lacquer) and cover copper pads on a printed circuit board.
Abstract:
A sheet switch comprises a pair of flexible insulative films (13,14), one of which (13) is provided with a plurality of electrodes (16), resistances (17) connected to the electrodes, respectively, and line patterns (18) for externally connecting the electrodes via the resistances. The other insulative film (14) is also provided with a plurality of second electrodes (19) at positions corresponding to the first electrodes (16), respectively, and a space is defined between each of the facing electrodes (16,19). The line pattern is a laminated structure consisting of an underlayer formed of a low resistance paste and an upper layer formed of a high resistanoe paste coated over the underlayer. The underlayer formed of a low resistance paste is partially disconnected to define a gap, so that the resistance is formed integrally with the upper layer formed of a high resistance paste at a position corresponding to the gap.
Abstract:
A transparent membrane switch assembly (10) and mounting means (118) for mounting the assembly (10) to a cathode ray tube (CRT) (68) are disclosed. The assembly (10, 10') is comprised of two layers (12, 16) of transparent film having spaced-apart parallel double fineline conductors (20) deposited on the internal surfaces (14, 18) of both layers (12, 16). The mounting means (118) comprise extension (114) protruding from the perimeter (116) of at least one of the layers of film, and a patch of a coupled fastening assembly (120) attached to each extension (114). Each fastening assembly comprises two separable parts, an outer surface (124) of one part being attachable to a side surface of a CRT when the switch assembly is registered with the CRT face.
Abstract:
@ A membrane switch panel has a printed circuit base board (20) carrying bare copper electrical circuitry (26) and contacts (26 & 28). A flexible, non-elastomer, laminar membrane (22) overlays the board (20) and also carries a bare-copper contact (24). An electrically insulating spacer (3) is provided between the board (20) and the membrane, but it is provided with an opening to allow the contact (24) upon local depression of the membrane to bridge the contacts (26 & 28) in the base board (20). The membrane (22) is adhesively sealed to the base board (20) enclosing an atmosphere of limited tarnishing ability for the contacts (20, 26 & 28) to maintain a low contact resistance and allow non-precious metals to be used for contacts.
Abstract:
A contact element for the intermittent contacting of conductor tracks on a circuit board, in particular, for flexible touchpads, for example for flexible input devices in the automobile industry, is made from a metal foam. The metal foam may be at least partly infiltrated by an elastomeric material which can also be the material of construction of the touchpad. The contact element has a very reliable construction which is particularly suitable for high voltage application. A method for production of the contact element, touchpads/input devices with such contact pads and the use of the contact pads is also provided.
Abstract:
A silver-coated stainless steel strip for movable contacts, which has an underlying layer comprising any one of nickel, cobalt, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, on at least a part of the surface of a stainless steel substrate, and has a silver or silver alloy layer formed as an upper layer, in which a copper or copper alloy layer with a thickness of 0.05 to 2.0 μm is provided between the silver or silver alloy layer and the underlying layer; and a producing method of the above-described silver-coated stainless steel strip, in which said strip is subjected to a heat-treating in a non-oxidative atmosphere.
Abstract:
In a push-button switch member provided with a movable contact composed of a metal member constituting a contact surface to contact an opposing electrode, a number of holes are formed in the contact surface in a height direction of the metal member, and the holes are filled with a filler formed of a flexible resin.
