Abstract: A system for filtering an input image dataset is disclosed. A plurality of sequences of input signal values, wherein each sequence corresponds to a different attribute, wherein an input signal value is associated with an attribute and a sampling point i. At least one processor 4 is configured to control computing an output signal value corresponding to a sampling point and an attribute. For a particular sampling point i and for each of a plurality of different attributes of the set of attributes, associating a weight to an input signal value based on a similarity between the signal value and for a plurality of the sampling points j excluding the sampling point i. Also the system computes a weighted sum based on the input signal values and weights. The attribute is a location or a frequency.

Abstract: A process for making an oligo(alkylene glycol) functionalized co-polyisocyanopeptide, wherein the process includes the steps of: i) copolymerizing a first comonomer of an oligo(alkylene glycol) functionalized isocyanopeptide grafted with a linking group and a second comonomer of a non-grafted oligo(alkylene glycol) functionalized isocyanopeptide, wherein the molar ratio between the first comonomer and the second comonomer is 1:500 and 1:30 and ii) adding a reactant of a spacer unit and a cell adhesion factor to the copolymer obtained by step i), wherein the spacer unit is represented by general formula A-L-B, wherein the linking group and group A are chosen to react and form a first coupling and the cell adhesion factor and group B are chosen to react and form a second coupling, wherein the first coupling and the second coupling are independently selected from the group consisting of alkyne-azide coupling, dibenzocyclooctyne-azide coupling, oxanorbornmadiene-based-azide couplings, vinylsulphone-thiol coupling, maleimide-thiol coupling, methyl methacrylate-thiol coupling, ether coupling, thioether coupling, biotin-strepavidin coupling, amine-carboxylic acid resulting in amides linkages, alcohol-carboxylic acid coupling resulting in esters linkages and NHS-Ester (N-Hydroxysuccinimide ester)-amine coupling and wherein group L is a linear chain segment having 10-60 bonds between atoms selected from C, N, O and S in the main chain.

Abstract: A process for the preparation of beads including a biocompatible hydrophobic polymer, a perfluorocarbon, polyvinylalcohol and optionally a metal compound, including the steps of: adding the perfluorocarbon and optionally the metal compound to a solution of the biocompatible hydrophobic polymer in a polar solvent to provide a first liquid mixture, adding the first liquid mixture to an aqueous solution of a biocompatible surfactant including polyvinylalcohol under sonication to obtain a second liquid mixture, a) maintaining the sonication of the second liquid mixture while cooling, b) evaporating the polar solvent from the second liquid mixture to obtain a suspension of beads including the biocompatible hydrophobic polymer, the perfluorocarbon and optionally the metal compound, c) separating the beads from the suspension and preparing a water suspension of the beads and d) freeze-drying the water suspension to obtain the beads, wherein the addition of the first liquid mixture to the biocompatible surfactant in step b) is performed within a period of at most 10 seconds, wherein the sonication in step b) and the sonication in step c) are performed directly into the liquid mixtures by for example a probe or flow sonicator at an amplitude of at least 120 μm for 0.01-10 minutes and wherein the weight ratio of the biocompatible surfactant to the biocompatible hydrophobic polymer is at least 3:1. Beads having close F-H2O interactions, which are suitable for imaging purposes.

Abstract: Method for processing a brain wave signal (4) obtained from a person using a brain wave detector (5). One or more stimuli are applied to the person in which each of the one or more stimuli comprises a pseudo random noise component modulating the stimulus intensity. A brain wave signal (4) is detected after applying the one or more stimuli. The detected brain wave signal is processed to calculate which of the one or more stimuli is present in the detected brain wave signal using correlation techniques. The pseudo random noise component comprises a pseudo random noise sequence of the class of maximum length sequences, which are further modulated with twice their associated bit frequency.
