Abstract: PURPOSE: A fake video detecting apparatus and a method thereof are provided to improve the reliability and a security level. Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and method of recognizing a finger print recognition which reinforced a security are provided to safely protect fingerprint information stored in a storing device from an external aggressor by adding fake characteristic information to real characteristic information. CONSTITUTION: A register fingerprint characteristic extracting unit(100) extracts a real characteristic from a register fingerprint image which passed through a preprocessing process. A characteristic protection unit(200) converts the real characteristic by polynomial based on identity information. The characteristic protection unit uses difference value from a polynomial result value of the real characteristic to generate fake characteristic.

Abstract: PURPOSE: An apparatus and method of recognizing an object are provided to improve the reliability of an object recognition. CONSTITUTION: A control unit of a recognition apparatus receives a face image from a camera(S100). A search unit performs a search about the face image by block units(S200). The control unit extracts a feature vector based on edge histogram about the each block which is searched by the search unit(S300). A matching unit matches a pattern using the extracted feather vector(S400). The control unit recognizes a face region from the unit block(S500).

Abstract: PURPOSE: A face recognition method using an image and an apparatus thereof are provided to identify a face using an infrared facial image or a normal facial image according to an illumination environment, thereby robustly identifying a face against an illumination change. CONSTITUTION: Feature vectors of recognition target persons are saved in a face feature vector DB(S201). A face image photographed by a camera is analyzed(S203). The form of an infrared image is transformed to enable the infrared image to express a feature of a normal image if the face image is an infrared image(S213). A feature vector is extracted from the transformed image or the general image(S215). The saved feature vectors and the extracted feature vector are compared to identify a face.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A forged face detecting method using an infrared ray image and a device thereof are provided to detect a forged face and to perform user authentication based on a general image picked up with a visible ray by picking up a face image with an infrared/visible light camera and analyzing a property of the infrared ray image. CONSTITUTION: A face image evaluation unit(31) evaluates picture quality about an infrared ray image matched with a face area by using a technology of sharpness. In case the sharpness of the infrared ray image within the face area lacks, the face image evaluation unit identifies the infrared ray image as a forged face. A face identifying unit(33) identifies the face from the face area based on a property of the infrared ray image. An eyeball property analyzing unit(35) compares a eyeball area of the infrared ray image with the set eyeball areas and detects the forged face.

Abstract: A biometric authentication method is provided to protect the original copy template although the template generated for the user authentication is flowed out with the transport network halfway. The bio-verification method in which the security is improved is as follows. The first disposable authentication template is generated from the bio-information and the authentication is demanded by using the one-shot translation information. The first disposable authentication template and the disposable registration template are compared. If the authenticated according to the comparison result is performed, the disposable registration template and the disposable translation information are updated. The updated disposable translation information is used for generating the second disposable authentication template.

Abstract: A system and a method for searching a user with multiple biometric recognitions are provided to remove recognition error occurring in a process for fusing matching points, which are a recognition result of more than two single biometric recognition systems. Fingerprint and face information databases(103,106) store a plurality of biometric information received from a plurality of users. Fingerprint and face distribution estimators(107,108) estimate probability distribution by using a cumulative distribution function for biometric information stored in the fingerprint and face information databases. Fingerprint and face searchers(113,116) search a plurality of biometric information of a target user from the fingerprint and face information databases and assigns a matching score to each biometric information by determining matching between the biometric information of the target user and the biometric information stored in the fingerprint and face information databases. A fuser(117) fuses the matching points based on CBF(Cumulative Bayes Fusion) by referring to the estimated probability distribution, and extracts a search result for the target user from a fusion result.
