Abstract: The present invention has an objective to provide a safety device for battery module for electric vehicle which has no need to replace the battery pack by forming an opening in the end plate in which expansion force according to the swelling effect is concentrated; installing a receptacle type power supply device (18) in the end plate; and blocking the current supplied to the battery module by receiving the expansion force through the opening; thereby preventing the break of electrode of the whole cell from existing swelling effect. To achieve the objective, the safety device for battery module for electric vehicle according to the present invention comprises: the end plate which delivers the expansion force generated from the battery module to outside while having the swelling effect through opening by having the opening and being located in both end part of the battery module; the power supply device (18) which comprises to block the current supplied to battery module by using the expansion force delivered through opening, by being located in the end plate. Accordingly, the break of the electrode of the whole battery cell due to the swelling expansion force when overcharging is prevented.
