    Abstract: The fitting for sliding doors includes a longitudinal groove extending in its mounted state in the longitudinal direction of the upper edge of the door which groove has two upper flanges covering the groove only partly. This allows a mounting of a sliding door and a hooking thereof onto a runway rail without the need of a lateral clearance.

    Abstract: The carriage (1) which serves to hold a panel (4), in particular a glass panel, comprises at least one running element (12) such as a magnet (1200), a wheel (12) and / or a sliding element (120) which is held by at least one corresponding magnetic element (1201) or supported on a running surface (3111) of an at least approximately U-profile or L-profile-shaped rail (3) which comprises a central part (32) and one or two lateral parts (31a, 31b), possibly with a foot element (311), on the upper side of which the running surface (3111) is provided. According to the invention the carriage (3111) comprises one or two carriage parts (1a, 1b; 1c) which can be anchored to the panel (4) by means of fixing means (2; 114, 1140; 93, 111) in that the two carriage parts (1a and 1b) can be anchored on the opposing sides (4a, 4b) of the panel (4) in each case by means of the fixing means (2; 114, 1140; 93, 111) or in that one carriage part (1c) can be introduced into a groove (45) arranged on the upper side of the panel (4) between the sides (4a, 4b) and be anchored there by means of the fixing means (2; 114a, 114b, 1140; 93, 111). The device comprises the carriage (1) according to the invention and a fixing device (2) which can be connected on the one hand to the carriage (1) and on the other handto the glass panel (4), with two assembly parts (21a; 21b) which are each formed or mounted on one side (4a or 4b) on the upper side of the panel (4) or within a groove (44) of the panel (4).
