Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is an easy and economic preparation method of BaTiO3-based oxides by modified oxalate method which is characterized by having more steps, primary milling, calcination, and secondary milling compared with a conventional oxalate method. The resultant BaTiO3-based oxide powder has spherical shape, mono-size and reproducible Ba/Ti control required for ceramic condensers, PTC and piezoelectrics. CONSTITUTION: The preparation method comprises the steps of: preparing BaCl2/TiCl4 solution by mixing 0.2-2.0mol/l of BaCl2 with 0.2-2.0mol/l of TiCl4 aqueous solution in a molar ratio of 1-1.5; preparing 0.2-5.0mol/l of oxalic acid((COOH)2), where a molar ratio of (COOH)2/TiCl4 is 1-3.0; adding BaCl2/TiCl4 solution at a 1-50ml/l rate to 50-100deg.C of oxalic acid solution for precipitating barium titanic oxalate(BTO, BaTi(C2O4)24H2O); aging for 1-100hrs.; drying at 50-200deg.C; thermal decomposing by heating at 2-10deg.C/min and holding at 600-1000deg.C; optionally substituting one or at least two element selected from Sr, Ca, Mg, Pb for Ba, and substituting one or at least two element selected from Zr, Hf, Sn for Ti; primary milling to 0.1-0.3micrometer of particle diameter; calcining at 800-1200deg.C; secondary milling to 0.2-1micrometer of particle diameter.

Abstract: PURPOSE: Methods for preparing barium titanate (BaTiO3) and Perovskite-type complex oxide are provided, to improve its composition and uniformity in size. CONSTITUTION: Barium titanate is prepared by adding liquid ammonia to 0.5-2.0 mol/L of the titanium chloride solution to prepare hydrogenated titania; mixing the hydrogenated titania with 0.5-2.0 mol/L of the aqueous solution of barium nitrate or barium chloride to prepare sludge; spray-drying or lyophilizing the sludge to obtain granule having the mean size of 10-100 micrometers; cracking the granule at the temperature of 650-1,200°C; and pulverizing the cracked one. Perovskite-type complex oxide (ABO3 type) is prepared by adding liquid ammonia to the aqueous solution containing B element to prepare the mixed hydrate; mixing the hydrate with the aqueous solution containing A element to prepare sludge; spray-drying or lyophilizing the sludge to obtain granule; cracking the granule; and pulverizing the cracked one. Preferably the A element is selected from Sr, Ca, Mg, Pb and Ba and the B element is selected from Ti, Zr, Hf and Sn.

Preferably the source material is Li2CO3, CaCO3, Ln2O3 and TiO2, and the the product prepared from Li2O-B2O3 is Li2B2O4.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A process for preparing a ceramic thick film by calcining a crystalline ceramic film with a thickness of above 1 micro meter at a low temperature of 500-1,000°C is provided which reduces the production cost and can produce a wide range of functional device. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises a)preparing process of slurry by blending 0.1-2.0 M single or mixture alkoxide solution with ceramic powder containing metal element of the alkoxide, b)forming process of a fixed form of film on a base plate or conventional film by hydrolyzing the slurry, c)drying process, and d)calcining process at 500-1,000°C. Ceramic powder is selected from PZT, lead titanate oxide, barium titanate oxide, titania, zirconia, alumina, and silica and charged with the amount of 70-95 weight% and has a mean particle diameter of 0.2-2.0 micro meters. The forming and drying process are repeated more than two times and the forming process of film is done by one method of coating, printing and casting.
