    Abstract: Disclosed is a carriage for holding a slidable separation element. The carriage includes a carriage body and at least one running wheel configured to roll along a rail when the separation element is displaced. The carriage body includes a housing with an interior space in which a holding unit is provided. The holding unit protrudes out of the housing through an opening and is seated to be slidable in a direction approximately vertically to the running direction of the carriage. The holding unit includes a holding wedge that interacts within the housing with an adjusting wedge. The holding wedge and the adjusting wedge have wedge faces abutting against one another. The wedge faces are inclined in relation to the running direction of the carriage. The adjusting wedge is displaceable in relation to the holding wedge so that the holding unit is held at a selected position by means of an adjusting screw. The adjusting screw is aligned in parallel to the running direction of the carriage and is seated rotatably and non-relocatably in bearing openings of the carriage body. The adjusting screw has a threaded shank which is rotatably held in a threaded channel of the adjusting wedge. The holding unit comprises a holding bar which is slidably held within the housing between guide beams and protrudes through the opening out of the housing. The holding bar is connected with a support lever via a central axle. The support lever includes a wheel axle and wheel on either side of the central axle.
