Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a stabilizing agen for mixed fuel composed of powdery coal and fuel oil, forming an easily dispersible fluffy precipitate, and containing a compound having a polyoxyethylene group and a corboxyl group in a molecule as an effective component. CONSTITUTION:A stabilizer for a coal/oil mixed fuel, containing a compound having a polyoxyethylene group and a carboxyl group in a molecule, denoted by the formula [R is H, alkyl, alkylphenyl or polyoxypropylene; B is -CH2CH2- or -CH=CH-; M is H, uni-valent or bivalent cation; n is an integer corresponding to the weight ratio of -(CH2CH2)n- to R-O-(CH2CH2O)n- of >=30wt%], and obtained by the half-esterification of a nonionic surface active agent such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkyl ester, etc. with maleic acid, succinic acid, etc.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultraheavy oil emulsion fuel which can stably maintain the state of emulsion for a long period of time and is not inferior in properties as a fuel. SOLUTION: This ultraheavy oil emulsion fuel comprises: 100 pts.wt. ultraheavy oil; 20 to 50 pts.wt. water; 0.1 to 2.0 pts.wt. nonionic surfactant, with a hydrophile-lipophile balance(HLB) of 14 to 18, pref. contg. polyoxyethylene nonylphenyl ether; and 0.005 to 1.0 pt.wt. carboxymethylcellulose (wherein viscosity of a 1 wt.% aq. soln. of the carboxymethylcellulose under conditions of 60 rpm and 25 deg.C measured with a Brookfield viscometer is not less than 3000 mPa.s, and the yield value of a 0.5 wt.% aq. soln. of carboxymethylcellulose is not less than 1 mPa.s as measured at 25 deg.C).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an O/W-type ultra-heavy oil emulsion fuel easy to handle, low in viscosity and stable for a long period, and adequately atomizable at 80-90 deg.C. SOLUTION: This ultra-heavy oil emulsion fuel is obtained by emulsification, under agitation by a high-shear type agitator, of a composition comprising 100 pts.wt. of an ultra-heavy oil, 30-80 pts.wt. of water, 0.05-4 pts.wt. of a nonionic surfactant 14-19 in HLB number, 0.005-4 pts.wt. of an anionic surfactant, and 0.003-1 pt.wt. of a hydrophilic polymeric material derived from natural matter and selected from the group consisting of plant-derived hydrophilic polymeric material and animal-derived polymeric material (e.g. agar-agar, gelatin). In this case, the weight ratio of the anionic surfactant/nonionic surfactant is (20:80) to (40:60).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject detergent composition with bulk density within a specific range, excellent in biodegradability and safety and further improved in detergency, comprising a anionic surfactant and a specific carboxybetaine-type surfactant in specified proportions. SOLUTION: This detergent composition with a bulk density of 0.5-1.2g/mL is obtained by blending (A) 10-50wt.% of an anionic surfactant (e.g. higher fatty acid salt) with (B) 1.0-20wt.% of a carboxybetaine-type surfactant of formula I (R1 is a 10-20C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 and R3 are each 1-3C alkyl, alkeneyl or H) in the the weight ratio B/A of (1:100) to (100:100) followed by 1-60-wt.% of an aliminosilicate and 1-40wt.% of a crystalline silicate of formula II (M is a group I a element; Me is at least one kind selected from groups IIa, IIb, IIIa, IVa and VIII elements; y/x=0.5-2.6; z/x=0.01-1.0; (w) =0-20; n/m=0.5-2.0) and then drying, grinding and granulation.

SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by mixing 0.5-30wt.% glycine-N,N'- diacetic acid derivative represented by the formula (where R is a 1-18C alkyl or an alkenyl; and M is H, Na, K or NH4 ) as an organic builder with 20-50wt.% anionic surfactant (A) (e.g. sodium linear-alkylbenzenesulfonate, 0.5-5wt.% nonionic ether surfactant (B) (e.g. polyoxyethylene dodecyl ether) having an HLB of 10.5-15.0, and 1-30wt.% aluminosilicate (0.5-10.0 pts.wt. component B is used per 100 pts.wt. component A) and has a bulk density of 0.6-1.2g/ml.

SOLUTION: This detergent composition contains (A) 10-50wt.% of an anionic surfactant (e.g. an alkylbenzenesulfonic acid salt having an 8-16C alkyl group) and (B) 1-20wt.% of an amidoamine oxide-type surfactant of formula I (R1 is a 10-20C alkyl or alkenyl; R2 and R3 are each H, a 1-3C alkyl, etc.; R4 is H, a 1-5C alkyl, etc.; (n) is 1-5) at a weight ratio (B/A) of (1-100)/100. The bulk density of the composition is 0.6-1.2g/mL. A composition having further improved detergent power can be produced by compounding the composition further with 1-60wt.% of an aluminosilicate, 5-30wt.% of a crystalline silicate of formula II (M is an element of the group Ia of the periodic table; Mc is an element of the group IIa, IIb, etc., of the periodic table; y/x is 0.5-2.6; z/x is 0.01-1; (w) is 0-20; n/m is 0.5-2), etc.

CONSTITUTION: This high-density granular nonionic detergent compsn. having a bulk density of 0.6 to 1.2g/ml comprises (a) 1.5-45wt.% org. builder of the formula (wherein R is H or OH; X is H, an alkali metal, or an ammonium salt), (b) 5-30wt.% nonionic surfactant, (c) 1-30wt.% salt of aluminosilicic acid, and (d) 1-40wt.% crystalline salt of silicic acid, provided that the nonionic surfactant (b) accounts for at least 70wt.% of all surfactant(s). The nonionic surfactant (b) is pref. a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether prepd. by adding 5-15mol (on average) ethylene oxide to a 10-18C prim. or sec. alcohol.
