Abstract: An image processing unit identifies the shape of an obstacle that is identified from an area that appears in a peripheral image based on an image captured by a camera. The shape of the obstacle includes at least a tilt of a section of the obstacle in a road-surface direction. The section of the obstacle faces a vehicle. The image processing unit generates a superimposed image in which a mark image that is generated as a pattern that indicates the identified obstacle is superimposed onto a position that corresponds to the obstacle in the peripheral image. At this time, the image processing unit variably changes properties of the mark image based on the tilt of the obstacle identified by an obstacle identifying unit. The image processing unit then displays the generated superimposed image on display apparatus.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a video analysis service receives video data captured by one or more cameras at a particular location. The service applies a neural network-based model to portions of the video data, to identify objects within the video data. The service maps outputs of the neural network-based model to symbols using a conceptual space. The outputs of the model comprise the identified objects. The service applies a symbolic reasoning engine to the symbols, to generate an alert. The service sends the alert to a user interface in conjunction with the video data.

Abstract: At least one processor of an electronic device in a vehicle may be configured to: receive broadcast information which is broadcast from a beacon and includes reference data indicating the relative positional relationship between a designated object positioned in a designated place and the position of the beacon and the data of the designated place; in response to reception of the broadcast information, acquire sensed data indicating the relative positional relationship between the designated object and the vehicle through at least one sensor of the electronic device on the basis of the data of the designated place; in response to acquiring the sensed data, identify the difference between the sensed data and the reference data; identify whether the difference lies outside of a reference range; and determine correction of the at least one sensor to be required, on the basis of identification that the difference lies outside of the reference range.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus that analyzes video data obtained from an image capture apparatus to detect an article that has been pre-registered is disclosed. Abstract: A method for finding at least one trigger for human intervention in a control of a vehicle, the method may include receiving, from a plurality of vehicles, and by an I/O module of a computerized system, visual information acquired during situations that are suspected as situations that require human intervention in the control of at least one of the plurality of vehicles; determining, based at least on the visual information, the at least one trigger for human intervention; and transmitting to one or more of the plurality of vehicles, the at least one trigger.

Abstract: A vehicle external environment recognition apparatus includes a light source extraction processor, a light source pair identification processor, a degree of reliability derivation processor, a light source pair re-identification processor, and a vehicle identification processor. The light source pair identification processor identifies a first pair of light sources based on positional relation of extracted light sources. The degree of reliability derivation processor derives a degree of vehicle reliability of the first pair of light sources. The degree of vehicle reliability indicates how reliably the first pair of light sources is regarded as belonging to the identical vehicle. When the degree of vehicle reliability of the first pair of light sources is lower than a re-identification threshold, the light source pair re-identification processor identifies a second pair of light sources in the vicinity of the first pair of light sources having the degree of vehicle reliability lower than the re-identification threshold.
