Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for performing the edge adaptive color interpolation are provided to minimize an error generated when interpolating a color in consideration of the direction of an edge. When a difference image channel is formed(200), the direction of an edge to which the pixel to be interpolated belongs is detected by means of the difference image channel and then the pixel for performing the color interpolation is selected among the peripheral pixels of the pixel to be interpolated(210). When the peripheral pixels are determined, the weighted value for representing the direction of an edge is offered to the peripheral pixels(220). When the weighted value is calculated, the color interpolation is performed by means of the weighted value and the difference image value(230).
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for discriminating the loss type of packet is provided to calculate an average arrival interval of packets received during a monitoring period and discriminate the loss type of packet based on a difference between the calculated average arrival interval and a reference average arrival interval. A method for discriminating a type of packet loss includes calculating an average arrival interval of packets received during a first time period, and discriminating the type of packet loss for a lost packet among the packets based on a difference between the calculated average arrival interval and a reference average arrival interval. If there is no lost packet among packets received during a second time period prior to the first time period, the reference average arrival interval is equal to an average arrival interval of the packets received during the second time period.
