Abstract: A computer system has a plurality of notifications in a notification history, including a first notification of a first event of a first event type and a second notification of a second event of the first event type. The first notification and the second notification are coalesced in the notification history. In response to detecting an additional event of the first event type, a third notification is created for the additional event. After creating the third notification, in response to a request to display a wake screen, the wake screen is displayed with the third notification. The third notification is displayed without information about the first notification and the second notification. After the third notification has been displayed, in response to a request to display the notification history, the notification history is displayed with a coalesced representation of the first notification and the second notification.

Abstract: Systems and methods for proactively identifying and surfacing relevant content on an electronic device with a touch-sensitive display are disclosed herein. In one aspect, the method includes executing, on the electronic device, an application in response to an instruction from a user of the electronic device. While executing the application, the method further includes collecting usage data. The usage data at least includes one or more actions performed by the user within the application. The method also includes: automatically, without human intervention, obtaining at least one trigger condition based on the collected usage data and associating the at least one trigger condition with a particular action of the one or more actions performed by the user within the application. Upon determining that the at least one trigger condition has been satisfied, the method includes providing an indication to the user that the particular action associated with the trigger condition is available.

Abstract: An application launching user interface that includes a plurality of application icons for launching corresponding applications is displayed. A first touch input is detected on a first application icon of the plurality of application icons. The first application icon is for launching a first application that is associated with one or more corresponding quick actions. If the first touch input meets one or more application-launch criteria which require that the first touch input has ended without having met a first input threshold, the first application is launched in response to the first touch input. If the first touch input meets one or more quick-action-display criteria which require that the first touch input meets the first input threshold, one or more quick action objects associated with the first application are concurrently displayed along with the first application icon without launching the first application, in response to the first touch input.

Abstract: A method, comprising: at an electronic device with a display, a camera, one or more processors, and memory: while a first media acquisition mode is active on the electronic device, in response to detecting a single activation of a shutter button at a first time, capturing media corresponding to a scene; performing scene recognition on the scene; in response to detecting a user input: in accordance with a determination that the scene recognition meets first criteria, displaying the media as a sequence of images acquired by the camera in temporal proximity to the single activation of the shutter button at the first time, wherein the sequence of images includes: a plurality of images acquired by the camera prior to detecting activation of the shutter button at the first time; a representative image that represents the sequence of images and was acquired by the camera after one or more other images in the sequence of images; and a plurality of images acquired by the camera after acquiring the representative image; and, in accordance with a determination that the scene recognition does not meet the first criteria, displaying the media as a single image in temporal proximity to the activation of the shutter button at the first time.

While playing a first media item in a queue of media items, the method includes detecting a request to add a second media item to the queue. In response to detecting the request to add the second media item to the queue, the method includes, in accordance with a determination that the first media item meets group-sensitive queueing criteria, wherein the group-sensitive queuing criteria include a criterion that is met when the first media item is part of a predefined group of media items in the queue, providing an option to add the second media item to the queue after the media items in the predefined group that are in the queue after the first media item and, in accordance with a determination that the first media item does not meet the group-sensitive queueing criteria, providing an option to add the second media item to the queue after the first media item and before any other media items that are in the queue. In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at a device with one or more processors, non transitory memory, a display, and an input device. While a plurality of media items are stored on the device, the method includes detecting the occurrence of a condition that corresponds to a request to free storage on the device, wherein the plurality of media items uses a first amount of storage on the device and a minimum amount of storage on the device has been reserved for media items. In response to detecting the occurrence of the condition while the plurality of media items uses the first amount of storage, the method includes, in accordance with a determination that the first amount of storage on the device is greater than the minimum amount of storage on the device that has been reserved for media items, deleting one or more of the plurality of media items and, in accordance with a determination that the first amount of storage on the device is less than the minimum amount of storage on the device that has been reserved for media items, forgoing deleting one or more of the plurality of media items from the device. In accordance with some embodiments, a method is performed at a device with one or more processors, non-transitory memory, a display, and an input device. The method includes displaying, on the display, a representation of a first automatically-generated playlist, the representation of the first automatically-generated playlist including representations of a first set of media items selected for inclusion in the first automatically-generated playlist based on first playlist generation criteria for the first automatically-generated playlist. While displaying the representation of the first automatically-generated playlist, the method includes detecting user interaction with the representations of the first set of media items. After detecting the user interaction with the representations of the first set of media items, the method includes detecting that a first update criterion for the first automatically-generated playlist has been met. In response to detecting that the first update criterion has been met, the method includes updating the first set of media items based on the first playlist generation criteria and the user interaction with the representations of the first set of media items. Updating the first set of media items includes adding one or more added media items to the first set of media items, removing one or more removed media items from the first set of media items, and maintaining a plurality of maintained media items in the first set of media items. After updating the first set of media items, the method includes displaying, on the display, an updated representation of the first automatically-generated playlist, the updated representation of the first automatically-generated playlist including representations of the updated first set of media items.

Abstract: An electronic device with a touch-sensitive surface, a display, and one or more sensors to detect intensity of contacts: displays a plurality of user interface objects in a first user interface; detects a contact while a focus selector is at a location of a first user interface object; and, while the focus selector is at the location of the first user interface object: detects an increase in a characteristic intensity of the contact to a first intensity threshold; in response, visually obscures the plurality of user interface objects, other than the first user interface object, while maintaining display of the first user interface object; detects that the characteristic intensity of the contact continues to increase above the first intensity threshold; and, in response, dynamically increases the amount of visual obscuring of the plurality of user interface objects, other than the first user interface object.
