    Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a stencil printing sheet which produces a sharply printed image and demonstrates superb running and anti-crease properties by specifying tensile strength and bending rigidity, i.e. the strength and resiliency of the sheet. CONSTITUTION: This thermosensitive stencil printing sheet is composed of thermoplastic resin film and a porous support consisting mainly of synthetic fiber laminated together. In addition, the tensile strength of the sheet in a vertical direction is, at least, 0.3kgf/cm and the bending rigidity B value in a vertical or a horizontal direction is, at least, 0.02gf.cm /cm.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title stencil paper excellent in image sharpness, running or feeding properties and printability by laminating a porous support composed of a synthetic fiber specified in aperture area rate, degree of crystallization and degree of orientation to the single surface of a thermoplastic polyester film. CONSTITUTION:Stencil paper for thermal screen printing is constituted of a laminate obtained by laminating a porous support to the single surface of a thermoplastic polyester film without interposing an adhesive between the film and the support. The porous support is formed from a synthetic fiber with an aperture area rate of 5-40%, a degree of crystalization of 20% or more and a degree of orientation (DELTAn) of 0.1 or more, may be formed from a nonwoven fabric composed of a stretched and oriented fiber with finness of 0.01-10 denier, and may be formed from a nonwoven fabric with METSUKE of 2-50g/m . By this constitution, the stencil paper for thermal screen printing excellent in image sharpness, high in strength and excellent in running or feeding properties and printability is obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a substantially non-oriented polyester film having the specific tensile modulus of elasticity, specific film haze and the specific coefficient of static friction, not losing flexibility and slip properties and excellent in handling properties. CONSTITUTION:A polyester film is a substantially non-oriented film with the tensile modulus of elasticity of 1-150kg/mm , film haze of 5% or less and the coefficient of static friction of 0.2-2.0. Herein, the number of primary or more projections on at least the single surface thereof is pref. 3-1000/mm when measured by a multiple interference method. By providing these projections, the handling properties of the film is improved to a large extent. Particles composed of talc, kaolin or calcium carbonate are pref. added to the surface layer of at least the single surface of the film. Polyester to be used is pref. constituted so that at least 60% or more of the repeating unit thereof is an ethylene terephthalate unit or a butylene terephthalate unit.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a film for thermal stencil printing paper which is excellent in perforation sensitivity, good in resolution and gradation in printing, and free from happening a problem of curl by a method wherein in a biaxially oriented film composed of thermoplastic resin a heat contraction of a specific temperature is at most a specific value even in either direction of a cross direction or a length direction of the film. CONSTITUTION:Heat contraction coefficients at 50 deg.C in either direction of a cross direction or a length direction of a biaxial oriented film consisting of thermoplastic resin are made at most 1.0%. Further, the heat contraction coefficient at 50 deg.C is preferably made at most 0.8%. Furhtermore, the heat contraction coefficients at 100 deg.C in at least one direction of the cross or length direction of the biaxially oriented film are made 10-80%. An average value of heat contraction stress in the cross direction and the length direction at 100 deg.C of the biaxially oriented film is made at least 300g/mm . Further, a melting point of the thermoplastic resin is preferably 140-250 deg.C. The film for thermal stencil printing paper is excellent in thermal perforation property, resolution, gradation, and curl resistance in printing and suitable for highly sensitivity service.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a film having high transparency and capable of excellently carrying out processing such as printing, coating, laminating, etc., consisting of a thermoplastic resin containing a low molecular liquid crystal forming compound, expressing excellent gas barrier and highly suitable for packing of foods and medicals preserved for a long period of time. CONSTITUTION:A film consisting of a thermoplastic resin containing a low molecular liquid crystal forming compound. The thermoplastic resin can be a polyester. A content of the low molecular liquid crystal forming compound is 0.1-50wt.% of the resin. Polyethylene terephthalate is specifically preferable as the polyester resin. N-(4-cyanobenzylidene)-4-actiroxyaniline, etc., are used as the liquid crystal forming compound. The film is 0.2-1000mum thick and light permeability is preferably >=80%. The liquid forming compound is preferably molten and needed with the resin, pelletized and, then, fed to an extruder.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a homogeneous biaxially stretched polyphenylene sulfide film having excellent flatness, mechanical characteristics by specifying p- phenylene sulfide unit content and unmelted nucleus residue. CONSTITUTION:Polyphenylene sulfide is used mainly as an object of a poly-p- phenylene sulfide in such a manner that p-phenylene sulfide unit of 90mol% or more exist. This polyphenylene sulfide film needs 10 pieces/g or more of unmelted nucleus residue. The residue is obtained by observing substantially unstretched amorphous sheet under a transmission polarization microscope and counting nuclei of a size having one side of 50mum or more. The residue is controlled by a cylinder temperature, retention time and shearing speed of an extruder when it is pelletized and/or extrusion molded to an amorphous film. Thus, a biaxial stretched polyphenylene sulfide film having excellent flatness, mechanical characteristics is obtained.
