    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for removing, by distillation, 6-aminocapronitrile from mixtures that contain 6-aminocapronitrile, adipodinitrile and hexamethylenediamine, by a) removing the hexamethylenediamine from the mixture while obtaining a mixture (I) that has a hexamethylenediamine content of less than 1 wt. -%, b) removing completely or partially the 6-aminocapronitrile from mixture (I) while obtaining a mixture (II) whose content in substances that have a higher boiling point as 6-aminocapronitrile under distillation conditions and that cannot be formed by dimerization reactions when 6-aminocapronitrile is thermally treated is less than 1 wt. -%, and c) completely or partially removing from mixture (II) the hexamethylenediamine that might be present while obtaining a mixture (IV) whose hexamethylenediamine content is higher than that of mixture (II), and a mixture (V) whose hexamethylenediamine content is lower than that of mixture (II).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regenerating a heterogeneous catalyst, which is used with hydrogen, in order to produce compounds containing NH2 groups by hydrogenating compounds that contain at least one unsaturated carb on- nitrogen bond. The inventive method is characterized in that: a) the supply of the compound to be hydrogenated is stopped, and; b) the heterogeneous cataly st or mixtures thereof is/are treated with a compound of formula (I) R1R2N-CO-R 3, whereby R1 represents hydrogen and C1-C4 alkyl, R2 and R3, independent of on e another, represent hydrogen and C1-C4 alkyl or, together, represent a C3-C6 alkylene group, under a pressure ranging from 0.1 to 30 MPa and at a temperature ranging from 100 to 300 ~C.     Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing aliphatic alpha-omega amino nitriles in the presence of a catalyst composed of (a) iron or an iron based compound or a mixture thereof (b) 0.01 to 5 wt. %, in relation to (a), a promoter based on 2, 3, 4, or 5 elements selected from the group comprising aluminum, silicon, zirconium, titanium, and vanadium, and (C) to 0.5 wt. % in relation to (a) a compound based on an alkaline metal or alkaline-earth metal. The inventive method is characterized in that the aliphatic alpha-omega dinitrile contains 1.0 ppm or more phosphorus. Catalysts are obtainable through the reductive and optional successive passivation of magnetite, whereby the catalysts have a BET surface of 3 to 10 m2/g, a total pore volume of 0.05 to 0.2 ml/g, an average pore diameter of 0.03 to 0.1 mm and a pore volume portion in the range of 0.01 to 0.1 mm of 50 to 70%.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a polymer. Said method is characterized as follows: a) a mixture (I) containing 6-aminocapronitrile an d water is converted into a mixture (II) containing caprolactam, ammonia, wate r, high boilers and low boilers in the presence of a catalyst; then b) the ammonia is removed from mixture (II) to obtain a mixture (III) containing caprolactam, water, high boilers and low boilers; subsequently c) the water is completely or partially eliminated from mixture (III) to obtain a mixture (I V) containing caprolactam, high boilers and low boilers; and finally d) mixture (IV) is subjected to a polymerization reaction. The invention also relates t o a polymer obtained according to said method, to its use in the production of fibres, flat material and moulded bodies that are obtained using a polymer o f this type.
