Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel cord for rubber reinforcement which satisfies all properties of fatigue resistance, cutting resistance and corrosion resistance and further improved in durability and a pneumatic radial tire using the steel cord as a reinforcing material. SOLUTION: The steel cord for rubber reinforcement is composed of a core strand 2 having two or more layers-twisted structure and a sheath strand 1 surrounding the core strand 2. The twist structure of the sheath strand 1 is represented by the formula n×m. The relationship between a diameter d1 of the sheath strand 1 and a diameter d2 of the core strand 2 is preferably represented by the formula d2≥d1. Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the lengthwise elasticity with a higher infiltration rate of a rubber material by twisting a plurality of strands in which groups of two twisted raw stands are twisted together with two non-twisted strand bundles to form a steel cord. CONSTITUTION:Two raw strands 4 are S-twisted to form raw strand groups 5 while raw strands 6 with the diameter the same as the raw strand 4 are arranged untwisted to form raw strand bundles 7. The raw strand groups 5 are S- twisted with the raw strand bundles 7 to form a strand 8. Four of the strands 8 thus obtained are Z-twisted to make a steel cord 9. The steel cord 9 thus obtained is excellent in the rubber infiltration rate (rubber infiltration sectional area/rubber infiltrable sectional area X 100), the fatigue resistance and the elasticity modulus as compared with the conventional type.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic fiber rope formed by multiplying twists of yarns and strands, having a small elongation rate at a high tension, capable of greatly improving a strength utilization rate of tensile strength of synthetic fibers, and ensuring an elongation rate substantially the same as an elongation rate of synthetic fibers used.SOLUTION: A synthetic fiber rope 1 is formed by twisting or combining a plurality of strands 2 comprising a cylindrical woven cloth that is woven with warp and weft of synthetic fibers and a core material of a plurality of synthetic fibers paralleled in the cylindrical woven cloth. The synthetic fiber includes one or a plurality of fibers selected from polyamide fibers such as nylon, polyester-based fibers, polyacrylonitrile-based fibers, polyvinyl alcohol-based fibers such as vinylon, polypropylene-based fibers, polyvinyl chloride-based fibers, polyethylene-based fibers, polyvinylidene chloride-based fibers, and polyurethane-based fibers.

In an elevator wire rope (1) structured by twisting a plurality of sub-wire ropes (3), each sub-wire rope (3) being formed by twisting a plurality of strands (2), each strand (2) being formed by twisting a plurality of fine steel wires (2a to 2g), the interior of the wire rope being filled with a resin (4), and the surface of the wire rope being covered with a resin (5), wherein the direction in which the fine steel wires (2a to 2g) and the strands (2) are twisted and the direction in which the sub-wire ropes (3) are twisted are mutually opposite, and the diameter d 4 of the inscribed circle of the plurality of twisted sub-wire ropes (3) is smaller than the diameter d 2 of the sub-wire rope (3).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator wire rope which is covered with resin and low ered in rotational property which is received when the wire rope passes a drive sheave.SOLUTION: The elevator wire rope 1 is constituted by twisting schenkels 3 each of which is formed by twisting strands 2, the strand 2 is formed by twisting fine steel wires 2a-2g, the interior of the wire rope is filled with resins 4, 5, and the surface of the wire rope is covered with the resin. The twisting direction of the fine steel wires and those of the strands are made opposite from those of the schenkels and diameters dof inscribed circles of the plurality of twisted schenkels are made smaller than the diameter dof the schenkel.
