PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimedia reproducing apparatus and control method thereof with which a preset setting value can be scheduled and an image/audio preset setting value can be switched by signal sources selected by the user for solving the problems caused by the conventional art. SOLUTION: A multimedia reproducing apparatus includes a storage unit for storing a plurality of preset setting values, corresponding to a plurality of signal sources; a control module connected electrically to the storage unit for selecting a set of target preset setting values from the plurality of preset setting values, according to a selected target signal source; and a processing module, connected electrically to the control module for adjusting multimedia data from the target signal source, based on the target preset setting values. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone with a pointing function and the use of the same pointing function. SOLUTION: The mobile phone includes a primary mobile phone body, an external antenna, a pointing device, and a pointing activation device, and the pointing device includes a light emission unit and a control circuit; and the light emission unit is fitted in the external antenna, the control circuit is fitted in the primary mobile phone body, and the pointing activation device is fitted to the primary mobile phone body and electrically connected to the control circuit, so that the control circuit makes the light emission unit emit light via an operation of the pointing activation device. Before a user uses the pointing device, the user should operate a user interface displayed on a display with a push button set on the primary mobile phone body and input a password without fail, and thus the pointing function is activated. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a related device, which are capable of reducing jitters occurring in a data stream at the receiving end of a selective combination system, so as to solve the several problems of a conventional technology. SOLUTION: The method of this invention comprises a first step to judge a base station that deals latest with a receiving end in a selective combination system, a second step to consider that the lost packets have been received when it is detected that the lost packets are present in a data stream from the latest base station and when the sequence number of the foremost packet out of the lost packets is coincident with the sequence number of a packet that is scheduled to be successively received next time at a receiving end, and a third step to transmit a packet next to the lost packets out of a data stream from the latest base station to a high order layer. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method causing no crack or deformation in a metal inner layer in manufacturing a heat pipe having a metal pipe, a metal inner layer having a capillary structure, and working fluid. SOLUTION: First, the metal pipe is produced, and then, it is molded. On the inside wall of the metal pipe, the metal inner layer having a capillary structure is formed. Afterward, the working fluid is charged, folowed by evacuation and sealing. As the molding method for the metal inner layer, a method 1, in which metal powder is evenly spread on the metal inside wall to be sintered, and a method 2, in which a metal mesh is arranged, are available. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for avoiding data loss that does not require a time-consuming processing and system resetting by recovering HFN synchronization between a transmitting station and a receiving station. SOLUTION: When an enciphering session is started in a synchronization recovering method, the initial-stage HFN is introduced, and the asynchronization of the HFN is detected between a plurality of communication stations in a radio communication system during the enciphering session. Then the present HFN in one communication station is adjusted in the radio communications system, the adjusted HFN is derived, and the adjusted HFN is adopted, and then used for post-processing in the enciphering session. Abstract:
This invention uses timers at the transmitter to track its sending data blocks to improve the timer-based stall avoidance mechanism of the prior art. Moreover, the invention uses a multi-timer mechanism to manage reordering buffers at the receiver. The multi-timer mechanism provides the receiver with one timer per reorder buffer, or uses one timer per missing data block, or uses one timer per missing data block but a gap of consecutive TSN missing data blocks can share one timer. The multi-timer mechanism can effectively track the missing blocks and monitor the reorder delivery process for all reordering buffers.
