    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the optical performance by providing at least two correction areas and varying the transparency in inverse proportion to the illuminance. SOLUTION: A multifocal contact lens 10 has at least two correction areas, i.e., a near eyesight correction area ZNV for correcting near eyesight and a far eyesight area ZDV for correcting far eyesight. This multifocal contact lens 10 has concentric annular areas around its optical axis A. In this case, the multifocal contact lens 10 is a central NV contact lens. Namely, the near eyesight area ZNV of the contact lens is in the center and the far eyesight area ZDV is at the periphery. And, the transparency of this multifocal contact lens 10 varies in inverse proportion to the illuminance. In detail, this multifocal contact lens 10 is formed out of a hard material or flexible material which decreases in transparency as the illumiannce increases.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To convert an image from a black-and-white CCD camera to an image matched with an LCD type display matrix by alternately reading digital signals from the odd-number part and even-number part of a memory means and reconstructing the image suitable for the display matrix from the read signals. CONSTITUTION: A converter 16 processes a video signal received from a camera 12 and distinguishes effective data from field/scanning line synchronizing data. Then, the effective data are digitized by a converter 16. The effective data are written in the even-number part and odd-number part of a memory 17. Write is executed synchronously with the video signal. The data written in the even-number part and odd-number part of the memory 17 are simultaneously read out. At such a time, the data are not synchronized with the video signal but read out by a frequency having compatibility with the frequency of a graphic controller 18 for driving an LCD 14. Thus, the read data are used by the graphic controller 18 and displayed on a graphic picture.

Thereafter, the recovered liquid is further centrifuged at 1,500G, for 30min at 4 deg.C to suck out lipids in the surface layer and to recover the remaining liquid. Then, the recovered liquid is filtered with a molecular sieve having a 0.22μm pore size to obtain a filtered solution. The support shaft 15 is gradually rotated until the lens 10 to be ground has rotated through one complete turn. During such rotation, a check is carried out to determine whether a feeler 17 associated with a template 16 is operated or not.
