Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for creating digital clone of a multi-viewpoint image based dynamic object is provided to generate a 3D human body model which enables a behavior feature reproduction of an actor by restoring a shape of an actor and motion information for each frame based on multi-viewpoint. CONSTITUTION: An actor performs pre-defined motions, and a three-dimensional shape restoration unit(100) restores a multi-viewpoint image based three-dimensional shape information for a T-pose multi-viewpoint image. A standard human body model transition unit(102) creates the initiation model of an actor from restored shape image. An intrinsic human body model generator(104) applies the initial human body model to a multi-viewpoint pose learning image.

PURPOSE: An apparatus for separating a foreground from a back ground and a method thereof are provided to enhance the foreground/background separation performance by accurately performing a codeword modeling. CONSTITUTION: A background model generator(300) generates a codebook for foreground/background separation, and includes a codeword generation block(301) and codeword rearrangement block(302). The codebook includes plural codewords, and a foreground/background separation unit(350) separates the foreground from the background by using the generated codebook. A foreground/background decision unit(351) includes a post-processing block(352).

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video picture quality improving method and its apparatus using a motion picture recognition model. SOLUTION: For motion picture frames input, consistent conversion into color pictures is performed through apparatus characterizing work regardless of the apparatus. Parameters of the recognition model of the motion pictures extracted through a picture analysis are applied to every frame to perform picture conversion. The converted motion pictures are displayed on a device similar to a screen for showing broadcasting TV and movie pictures, and then data of comparison of colors, color sense and picture quality preference are collected through the specified number of observers for the displayed motion pictures. By using the collected data, media and contents adaptive digital video contents are produced to which the recognition model of the motion picture and valuation data of the observers are finally applied. PURPOSE: A system and method for extracting an optimum image using human visual characteristic are provided to extract a picture quality factor, convert and process the extracted factor to reproduce optimum picture quality for a display system. CONSTITUTION: A system for extracting an optimum image using human visual characteristic includes a converter(10) for converting RGB video signals into LCh color spaces, an LCh controller(20) for controlling the value converted from the RGB signals into LCh spaces into an image having optimum colors, and a converter(30) for converting the image into RGB video signals. The system further includes a converter(40) for converting RGB video signals into YPbPr signals, an image control and improving part(50) for controlling the YPbPr signals into an image with high picture quality, and a converter(60) for converting the image into RGB video signals. The system also has a factor extractor(70) for extracting a factor corresponding to the RGB video signals converted by the converter for converting LCh into RGB and extracting a factor corresponding to the RGB video signals converted by the converter for converting YPbPr into RGB.

PURPOSE: A chipset for generating color transform coefficient and a method for controlling the same, and an apparatus for improving the quality of a picture of an HDTV system using the same are provided to easily improve color representation characteristics of an HDTV. CONSTITUTION: A TV signal receiving unit(12) receives digital broadcasting image signals transmitted from a broadcasting station. A preprocessing unit(18) adjusts the size of an image to fit for an actual size of a display device, or executes basic image transform. A color transform coefficient generating chipset(20) generates a color transform coefficient for obtaining the optimum quality of the image of a digital TV and an HDTV. A postprocessing unit(22) transforms the image by using the color transform coefficient obtained from the color transform coefficient generating chipset and a color preference data coefficient obtained from a user. An RGB display unit(16) displays the transformed RGB image on a screen.

PURPOSE: A device for improving image illumination characteristics and picture quality of a digital camcorder using a color display model is provided to enable a process of obtaining an image by a digital camcorder to have visual features of human being, and to use a color display model applier for an inputted image of the digital camcorder, thereby storing high-quality images and compensating distorted images. CONSTITUTION: A CCD image input unit(100) obtains an inputted image of a digital camcorder. An operational mode controller(200) performs a color display operational mode for applying a color display model relating to the inputted image, and transmits color temperature. A color display model applier(300) carries out an adaptation process corresponding to various illuminations, adapts the inputted image to the transmitted color temperature, and converts the adapted image into a visualized image. A color region controller(400) controls color regions of image data converted by the applier(300). An image storage(500) stores the image whose color regions are controlled as an output image of the digital camcorder.

PURPOSE: A method for mapping a monitor RGB to a printer RGB is provided to accord an image color on a monitor with a printed image color by outputting an RGB standard sample image of a color monitor and changing a color value on the monitor by comparing to the output and making a table for an RGB mapping of an RGB of a color monitor and an RGB of a color printer and converting all images into new RGB images based on the table and converting the RGB images into CMYK(cyan, magenta, yellow, black) signals and outputting the signals. CONSTITUTION: In a matching method for a monitor RGB and a printer RGB for according an image on a monitor with a printed image, a standard color sample is printed through a printer. Each color value of the monitor is adjusted for conforming two colors by comparing a standard color sample with the image on the monitor. The adjusting amount of the color value is stored in a reference table. An RGB of an image to be printed is corrected using the reference table and the corrected image is printed.

PURPOSE: A constant luminance controller of an HDTV and a method for generating and outputting constant luminance are provided to find a constant luminance value close to the color of the original image to produce images with high picture quality. CONSTITUTION: A constant luminance controller of an HDTV includes a luminance controller(1), a luminance comparator(104), and a signal converter(106). The luminance controller generates and stores a look-up table in which a predetermined constant luminance value of an image with high picture quality and a reference luminance value of a general image are contrasted with each other. The luminance comparator compares the reference luminance value with the luminance value of an input image. The signal converter extracts a constant luminance value corresponding to the reference luminance value when the luminance values compared with each other are similar to each other and converts the image into RGB signals using the extracted constant luminance value.
