Abstract: Un proceso para la coproduccion de 6-aminocapronitrilo (ACN) y hexametilendiamina (HMD) mediante el tratamiento de adiponitrilo (ADN) con hidrogeno en presencia de un catalizador que contiene níquel a temperaturas no inferiores a la temperatura ambiente y presion parcial de hidrogeno elevada, en presencia o ausencia de solvente, el cual comprende, después que la conversion basada en ADN y/o la selectividad basada en ACN ha descendido abajo de un valor definido. (a) interrumpir el tratamiento del ADN con hidrogeno deteniendo la alimentacion de ADN y del solvente, si se utiliza, (b) tratar el catalizador de 150 a 400 degree C con hidrogeno utilizando una presion de hidrogeno dentro del rango de 0.1 a 30 MPa y un tiempo de tratamiento dentro del rango de 2 a 48 h, y (c) después continuar la hidrogenacion de ADN con el catalizador tratado de la etapa (b).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for obtaining hexamethylene diamine (I) from a mixture (II) containing (I) hexamethylene diamine, (III) hexamethylenimine, (IV) a compound selected from the group consisting of 2-aminomethyl cyclopentylamine and 1,2-diaminocyclohexane, (V) an imine, and (VI) adipodinitrile and 6-aminocaproic acid nitrile. According to said method, (a) a mixture (II) is subjected to distillation, yielding (a1) a low-boiling fraction which essentially contains (III), (a2) a medium-boiling fraction (VII) containing (I), (IV) and (V), and (a3) a high-boiling fraction containing (V) and (VI); (b) a mixture (VII) is subjected to distillation, yielding (b1) an overhead which essentially contains (IV) and (b2) a mixture (VIII) containing (I) and (V) as bottom residue; and (c) a mixture (VIII) is subjected to distillation, yielding (c1) (I) as overhead and (c2) a bottom residue which contains the essential part of (V).

Abstract: The invention concerns a process for simultaneously preparing 6aminocapronitrile and hexamethylene diamine proceeding from a mixture which contains a phosphorated compound and substantially adipodinitrile and is obtained by reacting butadiene with hydrocyanic acid in the presence of a catalyst containing a phosphorated compound. The process is characterized in that: (1) the portion by weight of a phosphorated compound, calculated as phosphorus, in the mixture is reduced; (2) the resultant mixture is partially hydrogenated in the presence of a catalyst in order to form an alpha-, omega aminonitrile; and (3) 6-aminocapronitrile and hexamethylene diamine are separated from the mixture.

Abstract: The invention concerns the preparation of caprolactam by cyclizing 6aminocapronitrile in the presence of water at high temperature and optionally of a catalyst and a solvent by: a) separating from the reaction yield ("reaction yield I") of the cyclizing process caprolactam and all the components boiling higher than caprolactam ("high boilers"); b) treating the high boilers from step a) with phosphoric acid and/or polyphosphoric acid at a temperature ranging from 200 to 350 ~C, obtaining reaction yield II; and c) separating the caprolactam resulting from reaction yield II of step b) and optionally 6-aminocapronitrile from unreacted "high boilers" and the acid used.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing aliphatic alpha, omega-amino nitriles in the presence of a catalyst composed of (a) iron or an iron based compound or a mixture thereof, (b) 0.01 to 5 wt. % in relation to (a) a promotor based on 2, 3, 4, or 5 elements selected from the group comprising aluminum, silicium, zirconium, titanium and vanadium and (c) 0 to 0.5 wt. % in relation to (a) a compound based on an alkaline metal or alkaline-earth metal. The inventive method is characterized in that the applied aliphatic alpha, omega-amino dinitrile contains 1.0 wt. ppm or more phosphor. Catalysts are obtainable through the reduction and optional successive passivation of a magnetite, whereby the catalysts have a BET surface of 3 to 10 m2/g, a total pore volume of 0.05 to 0.2 ml/g, an average pore diameter of 0.03 to 0.1 mm and a pore volume portion in the range of 0.01 to 0.1 mm of 50 to 70 %.
