Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an alcohol having extended carbon chain from a primary alcohol in good efficiency even with a small amount of a catalyst, and to provide a method for producing a carboxylic acid ester obtained from the primary alcohol by dimerizing the alcohol in good efficiency even under a mild condition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the alcohol and/or the ester includes reacting the primary alcohol in the presence of (i) a compound of a group 8-10 element in the periodic table and an aminoalcohol, or (ii) a complex of the group 8-10 element in the periodic table, having the aminoalcohol as a ligand, and a base (excluding the aminoalcohol) to afford the alcohol A having the carbon chain extended by the dimerization of the primary alcohol, and/or the ester B of the primary alcohol and the carboxylic acid corresponding to the alcohol. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing an organic compound having a nitrogen atom such as an oxime, etc., from an inexpensive raw material under a mild condition. SOLUTION: By using a nitrogen atom-containing compound having a specific structure as a catalyst, and reacting (A) a compound forming a radical with (B) a nitrite ester formed in a reaction system, a nitrogen-containing organic compound such as the oxime compound obtained by bonding a nitrogen-containing group with the radical-forming position of the compound forming the radical (A), an oxygen-containing organic compound obtained by bonding an oxygen atom-containing group with the radical-forming position, an organic compound having a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond, etc., are produced from easily available raw materials under mild conditions by a simple operation in a good efficiency, and also since the nitrite ester (B) is formed and used for the reaction in the system, it is not necessary to form (B) the nitrite ester separately and it is possible to simplify the production processes of objective organic compounds.
