    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition, excellent in mechanical characteristics and retention stability by including a specific liquid crystal polyester, a specified polybrominated styrene, a thermoplastic resin such as a polyamide, a filler and an antimony compound in a prescribed proportion. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is obtained by including (C) 0-200 pts.wt. filler, (D) 0.5-60 pts.wt. compound expressed by formula VII and (E) 0-30 pts.wt. antimony compound in 100 pts.wt. resin composition composed of (A) 1-99wt.% thermotropic liquid crystal polyester, composed of structural units expressed by formulas I, II, III or IV (R1 is formula V, etc.; R2 is formula VI, etc.) and having 150-280 deg.C deflection temperature under load and (B) 99-1wt.% one or more thermoplastic resins of polyamides, polyoxymethylenes, polycarbonates, polyarylene oxides, semi-aromatic polyesters, polyarylene sulfides, polysulfones, polyether sulfones, amorphous polyarylates and polyether ketones.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the heat resistance, the toughness of the knife edge, and the adhesive strength to fluororesin paint by using fusion-moldable liquid crystal polyester which consists of four specific structure units so that the ratio of the 1st structure unit to the sum of the 1st - 3rd structure units and the mole ratio of the 2nd and 3rd structure units are specified. CONSTITUTION:The fusion-moldable liquid crystal polyester which consists of the structure units shown by formulas I - IV so that the structure unit shown by the formula I has a 40 - 90% mole ratio to the sum of the structure units shown by the formulas I - III and the mole ratio of the structure units shown by the formulas II and III is 9/1 - 1/9. In the formula III, R1 is the group of the formula V and in the formula IV, R2 is >=2 kinds selected from the formulas VI and VII. In the formula VI, X is a hydrogen atom or chlorine atom. Consequently, the separating claw is obtained which has the superior heat resistance, low water absorptivity, superior paper discharging ability, and adhesive strength of fluororesin paint while its knife edge is hard to deform even at high temperature and high humidity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition which can form a molded product excellent in heat resistance, mechanical properties and appearance by blending a thermotropic liquid crystal polyester comprising specific structural units with a thermoplastic resin. CONSTITUTION:The title resin composition comprises 1-99wt.% thermotropic liquid crystal polyester comprising structural units of formulae I-IV and having a heat deformation temperature of 150-280 deg.C and 99-1wt.% one or more thermoplastic resins selected from the group consisting of polyamides, polyoxymethylenes, polycarbonates, polyarylene oxides, semi-aromatic polyesters, polyarylene sulfides, polysulfones, polyether sulfones, amorphous polyarylates and polyether ether ketones. In formulae I-IV, X is one or more groups selected from the group consisting of formulae V, VI, etc.; the carbonyl groups in the structural units of formulae II and III are in the para- and meta-positions relative to each other, 65mol% or more of which is in the para-position; and the amount of the structural unit of formula IV is substantially equivalent to the total amount of the structural units of formulae II and III by mole.
