Abstract: PURPOSE: To drive an electric motor with a simple method by controlling a circuit for controlling the supply of power to the electric motor with a sensor that responds to the phase difference between the current of the stator coil winding of the electric motor and the voltage between coil windings. CONSTITUTION: A sensor 32 has a comparator 33 and receives a signal SI and a signal SII by the comparator 33. The signal SI indicates current in the stator coil winding of an electric motor 22 and the zero point passage of the current, and the signal SII indicates the zero point passage of a voltage between coil windings. For creating the signal SI, the sensor 32 has a device 34 for measuring the coil winding current of the electric motor 22 and a device 35 for detecting the zero point passage of the current in series. For creating the signal SII, the sensor 32 has a device 36 for constituting an interface between an AC-line voltage and a low-voltage control unit 24 in series, a device 37 for detecting the zero point of the voltage, and a device 38 for generating a pulse during a specified period starting from the time when the voltage passes the zero point.

Thereby a focal characteristic is provided at two points expression the state of an accurate sight with respect to a far sight and a near sight, and concerning an intermediate sight between these two sights a user is given a most comfortable sight.

As a result, the simple, safe and efficient device which automatically executes a series of the operations required for the treatment of the contact lens while abiding by the amts. of the reagents and the reaction time required for the same is obtd.

CONSTITUTION: A driving motor is inserted above a tracer 16 through auxiliary carriages 33X and 33Y, and floating assemblies 29X and 29Y are inserted between auxiliary carriages 33X and 33Y and a carriage Y, and the power feed to the driving motor follows up a detection means which senses the relative movement between auxiliary carriages 33X and 33Y and the carriage Y. When the force with which the relative movement allowed by floating assemblies 29X and 29Y in proportion to the engaging process of the tracer 16 brought into contact with the article, whose outline should be read, presses the tracer 16 to this article reaches a maximum allowable value, the power feed to the driving motor is cut off. Thus, the tracer is properly guided without a danger of deformation of the circle or the enclosure.
