    Abstract: PURPOSE:A curable resin composition capable of providing cured products having excellent heat resistance and flexibility, prepared by mixing an aliphatic maleimide with an aliphatic amino compound. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition comprising an aliphatic maleimide represented by formulaI, wherein R1 is H, a 1-20C hydrocarbon group, a halogen atom, (R2)OC-, (R2)OCNH-, OH, cyano or nitro, (R2 is a 1-20C hydrocarbon group or its halogen-substituted group), Q is an l-valent aliphatic ether group and l>1, and an aliphatic amino compound represented by formula II. When a maleimide compound represented by formula III is added to the above composition, the mechanical strength, thermal degradation resistance, bonding strength and electrical properties are further improved because of a synergistic effect resulting from the interaction among the maleimide compound, the aliphatic amine and the aliphatic maleimide.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition having excellent handleability, stability and curability, and giving a cured product having excellent heat resistance, by compounding a specific N-(alkenylphenyl)maleimide derivative and an epoxy compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is prepared by compounding (A) a compound selected from an N-(alkenylphenyl)maleimide derivative of formula (R -R are H, 1-20C hydrocarbon, halogen, alkoxy, acyl, etc.; R together with R or R may form a ring; X is H, halogen, OH, alkoxy, acyl, etc.; m -m are positive integers and m +m +m =5), its oligomer or its polymer, and (B) an epoxy compound having one or more epoxy groups in a molecule. The compounding ratio of the component (A) to the component (B) is pref. 5:95-95:5 in weight. If necessary, an amino compound is added to the composition as the third component.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:After the reaction between a halonitrobenzene, a nitrite salt and an alkali metal compound in a polar organic solvent, the reaction mixture is cooled, the precipitate is filtered off and the filtrate is recycled to the reaction step, thus producing the title compound used as an agricultural chemical with advantage. CONSTITUTION:A halonitrobenzene is made to react with a nitride salt and an alkali metal salt in a polar organic solvent. After completion of the reaction, the mixture is cooled and the precipitate is filtered ad the title compound is collected from the precipitate, meanwhile the filtrate is recycled to the reaction step. The precipitate is washed with a low-boiling solvent and the low-boiling solvent is distilled off from the washing and sent to the washing step and the residue mainly containing the polar organic solvent is also recycled to the reaction step. The process in accordance with the present invention gives the title compound of high quality at a relatively low temperature in a short time with high safety and permits the advantageous isolation and recovery from the reaction mixture.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title compound, a starting material of founctional resins, in high yield and without side reactions, by treating 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane and maleic anhydride with a lower coarboxylic acid, using a specific reaction auxiliary to inhibit the coagulation of the slurry. CONSTITUTION:4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane of formula I and maleic anhydride are subjected to the ring opening reaction in the presence of an organic solvent and then to the dehydration cyclization by the addition of a Co compound catalyst, a tertiary amine and a lower carboxylic anhydride to give N,N'-(4,4'-Diphenylmethane)bismaleimide of formula II. In these processes, a compound of formula III (Y1-Y9=H, NH2, at least one of them is NH2) or formula IV (Y10=C1-5 alkyl, C1-5 alkoxy), e.g. 2,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane etc., is used as a reaction auxiliary. The chemical properties of the auxiliary are similar to the starting material, 4,4'- diaminodiphenylmethane.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare the title compound useful as a raw material of high performance rsins, and adhesives, in high yield and purity and in a short time, by hydrolyzing an ester of the title compound with an oxy-acid of sulfur or phosphorus, under specific temperature conditions. CONSTITUTION:N-(hydroxyphenyl)maleimides of formula II are prepared by (1) dissolving N-(hydroxyphenyl)maleimide ester of formula I(R is 1-7C alkyl, phenyl; R' is H, CH3, C2H5, F, C1, Br, I; n is an integer of 1-5) in an oxyacid of sulfur or phosphorus (sulfuric acid, thiosulfuric acid, sulfurous acid, orthophosphoric acid, orthophosphorous acid, and/or pyrophosphoric acid), and (2) pouring the solution into water therby hydrolyzing the esters. USE:Raw material of thermosetting resin, photo-snsitive resin, impregnating varnish, paint, and copper-clad laminate, etc.
