Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a streetcar side sliding door device eliminating site adjustment of a coach of a manual locking mechanism provided to the streetcar side sliding door device to reduce streetcar assembly manhour. SOLUTION: In the streetcar side sliding door device for opening and closing a door getting on and off on the side of the streetcar by two sliding doors 1 and 2 moveably supported on a horizontal door rail, an automatic locking mechanism 6 locking the sliding doors 1 and 2 in a closed state by engaging with a closing motion of the sliding doors 1 and 2 and the manual locking mechanism 21 locking the sliding doors 1 and 2 in a closed state by a manual operation are provided, at the same time, the manual locking mechanism 21 prevents an unlocking operation of a latch bar 7 of the automatic locking mechanism 6in a locking state by a lock lever 23 to hold the sliding doors 1 and 2 in a locking state. The sliding doors 1 and 2 are not directly pressed down by the manual locking mechanism 21, and a positional relation with the automatic locking mechanism can be adjusted at a plant since it is such a structure that the unlocking operation of the automatic locking mechanism can be prevented.
